When thinking about the layout of your 4 bedroom, two storey house, it is important to look at the configuration of the bedrooms. That is whether you want all the bedrooms to be close together on the same level, or if you prefer to separate through a master bedroom and perhaps have a guest bedroom on the ground floor. We found that, as a general rule, families with young children prefer to have the master bedroom next to the smaller bedroom and those with older children prefer to separate so that everyone has their own space in the house.
If you want a master bedroom or a smaller bedroom at the front or back of the house you should also consider a 4 bedroom, two storey house. This is often determined by your block configuration.
