500 Sq Ft Studio Apartment – It’s actually a step away from a functional apartment, so you have room to breathe – but it can still be difficult to create a functional living room. Here are some decorating ideas that will make your home look beautiful while allowing you to enjoy living there.

Five hundred square meters 25 x 20 feet. It’s slightly larger than a typical two-car garage, so imagine a two-car garage with plenty of room to walk around and a large 500-square-foot-floor.

A 500 square foot apartment is big enough to have a separate space, like a separate kitchen rather than a small kitchen, but still small enough that the apartment won’t be too big.

Ways To Get The Most From Studio Apartment Floor Plans

Although it is not a small house, a space of 500 square feet can easily feel crowded. You can avoid feeling crowded by being smart about your decor. By using the following tips, you can have a beautiful apartment that also works for your lifestyle.

When you leave the room below, start climbing! Use shelves, cabinets and other storage pieces that are placed high in the ceiling to increase storage and take your mind off the floor. Some kitchen cabinets have limited space on top – use them to store things you don’t use often. And if you have a high ceiling, that means you have a lot of space to work with!

Keep your space bright with good lighting. Although natural light is the best, you may not have much, if any, depending on the windows and layout of your home. Especially if you don’t have many windows that let in natural light, the lights you use can make a big difference.

If you can’t replace the ceiling light, you can always get a cool floor or table lamp that will shine some light while looking at the scene.

In a 500 square foot home, size matters. While having an upholstered chair would be nice, it is better to choose small furniture because it won’t take up too much space and will make the room look bigger and more open.

Use soft furniture, clean lines, and avoid anything obvious or visible. This type of furniture will be easy on the eyes and feel very inviting.

If you want more drama, use small decorative items instead of large pieces of furniture. Large appliances take up a lot of space and make everything look smaller, which you want to avoid.

Instead, add some patterns or pillows to your sofa or dress things up in a fun piece of art or a vase with a bold frame. Small details add style without jumping out at you when you enter a room.

We are naturally drawn to balance, and balance is the ultimate form of perception. If you have a fireplace or an open closet, try to keep items that are neutral and match your decor.

If you have a candle on one side, have a glass on the other side. Or when you put a pillow on your bed or sofa, take a picture of each one. It will make us look better and make us feel more comfortable in the room.

It is impossible to live in a 500 square foot apartment and while it looks good, enjoy the small space you have. There is no need to deviate from small and simple design elements. In fact, they turn your home into a beautiful home!

Courtney (Melissa’s daughter) is here today. I am here today to show you my new 500 square meter apartment! If you are new here, in January I went to Bellingham, a beautiful and charming city by the water. Recently I showed you a tour of my empty apartment and the vision board of my design, then I showed you my bedroom, and now I want to give you a show of my house for a few months now. live here? Under 500 Square Feet: Inside 7 Tiny Yet Chic Spaces

This is my entry! I never thought I’d find room for an entryway table in this small space, but I’m glad the half-round table from my old apartment worked here too! (Click here for the same table). It cuts off the bathroom door a bit, but that’s fine by me…it’s a little local thing, you know? The table is always welcome addition, regardless of size. If only there was a place for a little light on the wall… I’m going to try my mom’s magic rechargeable light bulb (click here)!

To the left of the door is my kitchen. My last kitchen only had one wall, so the layout and size of that kitchen feels like a “big” kitchen! I didn’t really imagine that a 500 square foot house would have such a kitchen so I’m really thankful for that.

I have had this coffee machine for several years and it is still going strong. I got this milk steamer/steamer for Christmas (I had mine after using my mom’s every day when I lived in her basement!). I use it every morning to make my oat milk latte and I love that it’s stainless steel (instead of the non-stick coating that some have!).

I keep my mine collection similar to a mug tree. I like to choose a different cup every morning (must be from my mom… ha!). We’ve collected many of our favorite mugs here.

I’ve been looking for a small kitchen lamp in the corner of my kitchen and I’m in love with this rattan lamp from our Target lamp. I love that it adds texture, color, and a warm glow that’s perfect for evenings. It is unfortunately out of stock but you can find similar rattan lamps and other small lamps here.

This wicker console cabinet was love at first sight… when I saw it online I ordered it right away! It looks like it’s gone, but you can find those directories here (I hope it comes back!). Good price for the quality and size and has great storage shelves inside. This house has better storage than my old one, so it saves the lives of things I kept in the closet and desk.

Since my house is new and everything is gray and white, I knew I wanted to add character and warmth through my furniture and accessories. I love the design and color of this cabinet in my space.

You may remember this Wingback Linen Stee if you’ve been following along here for a while! My mom had it in her house for years and it was the perfect piece for my little room.

Life In A Tiny Home

I first had it on the wall where there was a wardrobe, but since I’m living here for a little while I decided to try it by the window. I thought I wouldn’t like it, but I really did! It does not block much of the window and creates a long narrow room. The high back gives a better sense of privacy when I’m sitting too!

I have been knitting a rug with this pattern for many years. It really brightens up the space and I love that it ties in with the honey tones of the cabinets, benches and rattan lamps. That ottoman was “given” from my mother – here’s one! I love that it also doubles as an extension of the living room for guests.

I’m so glad my island has room for a counter stool! Mine are these (they come in three natural-mining colors). Warm wood and black metal legs add a nice contrast to the space.

I chose not to have a dining table and chairs or a desk to save space – so I usually sit on this bench to eat and work. I still have the leaf dining table in my bedroom (now used as a TV stand), so if I need more dining space I can easily move it here.
