Come Rain Or Come Shine

April in Paris The room was full of lush strings, bluesy horns and Sarah Vaughan singing ‘Lover man’. I love Sarah Vaughan’s voice. Her velvety voice and sweet music filling the air in the dark hours of the night colors some of the best memories of my student days. Melancholic songs of longing and regret, songs of love, joy and loneliness. The premise of Kazuo Ishiguro’s short story: three old college friends who meet, one of whom has his own April salary in Paris. I love Sarah Vaughan’s voice. Her velvety voice and sweet music filling the air in the dark hours of the night colors some of the best memories of my student days. Melancholic songs of longing and regret, songs of love, joy and loneliness. The basis of Kazuo Ishiguro’s tale: three old college friends who meet, one of them with his own struggling feelings and struggling to control everything with Sarah Vaughan’s voice singing through the speakers. Congratulations, it takes me back in time. Opening the pages, I thought a nostalgic story was beginning, perhaps with some memories of unrequited love, or at least fear and heartbreak, a kind of fascination. , which could have been referred to with the author’s argument as The Remnants of the Day. Sooner than I thought, I belly-laughed, horribly disturbing the sleep of an angry Sunday morning teenager laughing at one of the absurd conceits of the Three Smallest Things. A second reading, however, revealed some of the buried ideas and subtler flavors beneath the slapstick humor. We found? Can old friends see us so little? Loneliness, the mysterious nature of friendship, sacrifice, the sense of what might have been, the weight of decisions taken naturally, the sadness and regret seen in human nature are manifested in connecting this part of life with music. the Ray Charles song that gave the story its title. We were very happy to find a voice – like Ray Charles singing ‘Come Rain or Come Shine’ – where the words are cheerful, but the performance is pure heart. Not knowing that this delightful story is part of Ishiguro’s collection Nocturns: Five Tales of Music and Night, I would like to read the other stories that live quietly under this misleading title and listen to Sarah Vaughan at night, for Once. Regret instead of forgetting. …the majority

I love Ishiguro and his “absurd” and weird world stories. This is a “common” story, about a friend visiting a loved one in England. But immediately you think… ‘what’s… happening’? And how will it end? That’s what I love about Ishiguro, the unexpected, the whimpers, the weird. Well this year I read some Ishiguro and I hope he publishes another book soon! Four stars and recommended. The story: When Ray turns to visit his old friends from Cha university, I love Ishiguro and his ‘nonsense’, strange stories of these stories of the world. So before you know it, you’re forty-seven, and the people you started out with in the past have been replaced by a generation that says different things, takes different drugs, and listens to different music. I struggled to get started on some books for a few days, maybe the hangover from Satantango was still there and had a nauseating effect on my experience. Different people take different drugs and listen to different music. I struggled to get started on some books for a few days, maybe the hangover from Satantango was still there and had a nauseating effect on my experience. I picked up this book today and in the first few pages I thought it was not about the story, I thought, about the mysterious words, but the title of Satantango still stuck in my mind as a challenge to find a place. However, when I ran a few pages, it became as pleasant as Jazz – it holds slowly like old wine – and of course I finished this little beauty in a few hours. I was first in the world of Kazuo Ishiguro, and that world, built on melancholic human relationships based on memory, loss, regret, and vanity, captured my attention. The plot begins with the narrator thinking about the meeting of three old college friends, viz. Pandora’s box has created unsatisfied love, commitment, anxiety and grievances and has organized a world of demure, ashamed and heartbroken people who fight with each other to continue their world. One of them is put under a love spell to contain his feelings and, ironically, to be as useless as anyone who can see his friend in the light of day. Jazz’s voice brought his old days back to his memories, but dancing with his friend’s wife and his old friend, he told himself not to show the path of the broken heart inside him, but his heart was broken these feelings were expressed in tears. The author here used a restrained narrative as if to step back and let the reader think, instead of always sticking with the author’s calculations. However, this does not affect the flow of the story because it flows slowly but with jazzy music. The story was also in the canals and the surface of the sounds covered with pleasant words that hid the melancholy of life beneath them. The story is steeped in dry humor. where lonely people discover that living with trust and doubt only interferes with human relationships. of
