A blue-green mixture has given good results. While I’m still in business (Forrest Gump style), I’ve been getting more and more requests for Blue Gray over the past few months.
Why is gray blue suddenly one of the popular children? Psychologically, I think most of us are looking for peace. We look for colors that slow our heart rate and help us relax in our homes… We spend a lot of time these days. Gray-blue is like a magical concoction that hits a certain happy spot (not that one, you dirty bird). The Best Warm Gray Paint Colors
Blue-gray with green is still a cool color because blue and green are traditionally cool colors, although green can soften the look of blue. It doesn’t make it hot, but it might sound a bit more appealing than a cool blue mix (though that’s open to interpretation).
Gray-blue with purple undertones looks a little cool, which makes sense since purple is often considered a cool color. When you add purple to blue (technically you’re adding red, but I’m like meat and potatoes here), you change your blue and make it a little cooler.

Hands down, my FAAAVE is a gray-blue mix. The Rocks of Gibraltar are a stunning stormy mix of blues and grays with a pale green background. It’s a color that’s very open to interpretation, because I’d say it’s gray, while others see blue as clear. So how it looks before your eyes is up to you!
Stony Brook is definitely a colorful ninja. It’s not that it’s purple, it’s definitely a blue-green mixture, but it turns green or leaves more blue on the table (or on the wall, really…).
