I couldn’t be happier with my experience. From our salesman Andrew to our construction manager Gideon to the three carpenters who built our barn on site, Leroy, Chris and Junior Blake, everyone did an amazing job making the barn the way we wanted it. I appreciate their patience and respect for my time and property as I make choices. My palace was destined to be built within the promised time frame. The crew arrived from overseas on time and efficiently worked in sync to build the barn on our property. Men also respect the property around them. What a pleasure to receive what was promised without any problems. Construction of a new workshop has begun! My wife and I just moved and the company has a standard for a large store move. The house exceeded all our criteria and the shop outside was the perfect base to refurbish it for my needs and turn it into a large workshop. Workshop floor measures 40′ x 40′, shop occupies 30′ x 40′ space. On one side is a 10′ slope that shares space with a storm shelter on the ground. The building is only 4 or 5 years old and was built for automotive use by the previous owner. I know the store is not 100% perfect and needs some work. In this article I will introduce you to the framework and tell you my problems and plans to update it for my needs.
Internally, it resembles a basic load-bearing palace structure. There are 6 × 6 posts every 10 feet connected by five horizontal 2 × 4 boards. This 2×4 is an external sheet metal screw. Between the plate and the 2×4 is a thin film that acts as a thermal break and prevents condensation on the inside of the plate. Anyway that’s my guess.

Inside you will see a man door and window on the right wall, stairs to the elevator and forced air intake and exhaust on the back wall, two tall horizontal windows and an exhaust fan on the left. There are many long-established roles associated with the store. The previous owner put old tin on the ceiling and also used the first footings on the walls. Then a black pegboard was placed on top. Disc and plate will be removed as not suitable for my needs. In its place is a 2×6 framed wall on 24-inch centers, insulation and 3/4-inch flat plywood. It gives me a lot more tuning options and does a better job of keeping the atmosphere under control.
The electrical panel is in the left corner when you enter through the man door. The refrigerator and office are directly to the right. If the fridge is too noisy for my computer to record, I move it.
The office spanned this wall because I brought all the things I made for my last office. I’m not entirely sure I want to use the long desk I made, since it’s mainly for my dogs, who won’t be with me in the store.
This shot is with your back against the wall and facing forward. There are two large roller doors at the front. They are brown on the outside and baked in the sun! Most of the heat is radiated into the space through the doors. The morning sun rises about 20 degrees in front of the shop so they don’t have too much sun, but heat problems do arise. I want to replace them with insulated doors with windows. The windows allow me to see the road and let me know when someone approaches the house or shop, and since there are no work spaces in the doors, light from the camera doesn’t cause problems.
