Now it’s time to color your receipt. I usually do my bleaching by making a simple mixture of 50% latex paint and 50% water. Dip your brush into 1/3 of the paint mixture and gently rub it against the side of the bowl, letting it dry before using. I work in 1 x 1 foot sections to better control the paint balance. It’s best to go low because the paint drips (stay away from the nasty paint!).
Once you’ve completed the first section from top to bottom, work your way up until you’ve completed the first coat. It is important to get between the bricks to get more paint from the mortar, otherwise the white brick will be incomplete.
