White Cabinets With Butcher Block Countertops – I How to protect the cover Butcher Block | Here I’ll tell you ten times why I use wood chips and how easy it is to maintain.
I want to share with you how to take care of your meatballs, which is the first question people ask when they see them. Another question came to me, would I do it again, and my answer was repeated a thousand times – YES! I love decorating my tree. If I hadn’t done a lot of research and found this method, I probably wouldn’t have. The last thing I want is high maintenance.

After doing a lot of research and looking at various shops, we decided to get American Walnut Plywood from Lumber Liquidators. I love that it’s a natural ebony that doesn’t need to be dyed.
All About Wood Countertops
Let me start by saying that this is what happens when there is tree cover. However, it is always very shallow. The two non-shallow scratches pictured here are Pete’s lines, just to show how easy it is to fix. Usually when we wipe our face with our favorite products, those little pimples disappear like magic. The handsome man decided to shake things up a bit, so we have to go into the details. So, this not only protects your top, but also shows you how to fix it if it happens.
Pete sanded the onion slices with 150 grit sandpaper. She doesn’t need much – just a light moisturizer. Side note – we recently removed the upholstery used by the shoe man. The flowers were very yellow the last two years and we didn’t like it. We (like him) will review everything soon.
She just went ahead and quilted both parts of the quilt, because when the quilt was unrolled, there was a little line there on the outside. You do not want to sand your wood in preparation for the drying process – there are 150 grits on top.
The reason for this is that when the wood is sanded, the finer particles become more hairy, giving it a “cleaned” look. This can limit the penetration of the product during treatment. The more surface area, the more. After all Sanding is done we are all ready for the next step.

Let me tell you, this stuff is amazing! If you are thinking about wood chips, this is the product for you. I decided to call the company today and ask a few questions to make sure they give you the most accurate information. What I like to call them is that real life people always pick up the phone.
The voice of a friend who is often heard is called Tonya. He is very helpful and knowledgeable about the product, but if you have any questions, he will quickly get your question to someone who knows. I can’t stress enough how amazing their customer service is and I have to say I’ve tried them. I can’t tell you how many times I have called this company and talked to the (poor) owner about the treatment process. They also have great online videos that explain this method in detail.
What I have is pure tung oil mixed with orange oil – Half and Half. However, due to the worldwide shortage of pure orange oil (they use orange leaf oil) and the price increase due to this shortage, the company has made some changes. RMPC is environmentally friendly, so they found another natural organic compound to replace citrus fruits, namely pine. You can buy pure orange oil, but they say it can change every day. Availability may be limited. Bad weather conditions and insects that damage orange trees have led to this unfortunate situation. UPDATE: This orange recipe is sold out again.
You may wonder why they mix the formula 1:1. Because pure tung oil has a lot of fat. It is comparable in thickness to honey. Simply apply tungsten oil to your wood surface and it will sit there with little absorption. (Think about how a drop of honey sits until you clean it.) Add orange or pine nuts as an organic thickener to thicken the essential oil and allow it to penetrate the wood. Applying half and half will run out of solvent. The only role of the solvent in this process is concentration. When it evaporates, you are left with pure tung oil.
Butcher Block Countertops [pros And Cons]
You can learn more about how to paint your first coat from The Real Milk Paint Co.
). We followed the recommended course of treatment. It’s a bit long, but if you hang in there, it will be worth it. I do it!
You can use a sponge or a brush to apply the oil. We love using this sponge brush from Amazon. Just pour a little on the cheeks and sweep with a sponge brush. Repeat in different areas until the entire surface is covered. Remember that we have shown all the faces to show how this process works. In general, contact is made here and there.
When confined to a small area, RMPC recommends using a ratio of 2:1 instead of half and half (1:1). The reason for this is that if the treatment process is done correctly (as they suggest), the wood hair will be saturated. In order to get as much as possible from the oil dose, you want to dilute it further to ensure that it gets to all the open areas it can access for complete absorption.

We let the tung oil infuse overnight. I took this photo this morning and you can see there is still a lot of oil on the surface. Using a soft cotton swab, I cleaned out the residue. I was surprised at how much I saved. The rest tells us that the wood is fully saturated. The bristles were “full” and couldn’t absorb all the oil we put on them. Your goal is to keep all the tungsten oil on the wood and not on the surface. It is important to clean everything that is not wet.
Remember these two breaks? Yes, they last a long time, and that’s what I love about these weapons. With Half & Half, they are very easy to maintain and manage. The highest grade paper we use is 150 grit and the tung oil penetrates the pores, leaving us with the beautiful dark finish I was hoping for. If we had used higher grade beans, we wouldn’t have gotten the dark color we wanted. After they cure, the product forms a surface that is safe to eat, which is very important to me.
I knew I didn’t want to use polyurethane. I have read the frustrations of other bloggers who have gone this route and have been disappointed. Waterlox is not an option because it is not food safe and it will make them shine. (Shiny, of course, not what I want.) Many food-based oils tend to dry out and become sticky and sticky.
By the way, I cook here all the time. I cook, cook, cook, etc. Any spill of oil or water remains on the surface of the water until it is cleaned up. The other day I was cleaning up the barbecue sauce I had left two nights before. All I have to do is wet my brush a little and go until I’m washed. In two years, I haven’t had any food or oil stains.

This part is the most used part of the meter and you can see it perfectly. We are attentive, but not psychologically attentive. We always use a cutting board and never put hot food or pots on the wooden table. Hot items are placed on top of a stainless steel island. More on this later. 🙂
So, now you know how to save my leftover meat blocks. If wood chips are what is sitting on your patio, we hope this information helps you make a decision. I know they are not for everyone. Also, I know many of you love the look of it, but are probably a bit shy about wearing it. I am going to tell you that this product is a game changer and I have no regrets.
I will love
