This is our first article from a few weeks ago. We have cut down the trees, removed lots of bushes and bushes from the front of the house. Remember for 4 years nothing has been touched except the grass. So that’s a job in itself.

We still have some repairs to do and all the prints need another coat. I think I haven’t mentioned that my husband and I are big fans of the darker faucets and lighter colored drains in the house. And I love that texture! But trying to figure out how to go about detailing in a traditional “breeder” home was a challenge.

As I mentioned above – we are almost done painting. Below is one that has been a great project for us. Even if it doesn’t look “gorgeous” and isn’t an attractive “after” photo, it took sweat and muscle to get to this point.
Any brown/cream siding you see is new (unpainted, of course) siding. We had to replace everything because everything was rotten. As I shared on IG, we removed the current pergola in the image above. But we also replaced all of the window seals on all of these wooden windows. All wood windows are absolutely gorgeous, but human wood can rot if left untreated! And since the house was vacant for about 4 years…
I think or at least I hope that things will really start moving forward with our home renovations in the next few weeks. We hope to get there in a month. Hopefully so!
