To determine the primary color, compare the paint flakes to the primary color and then to the secondary color. When you compare it to the same undertone, it will bring out the undertone in the sample and you will be able to identify it easily.
These subtle colors will show up when the lighting changes and when paired with primary colors in furniture or fixtures.
Conversely, when you compare the colors below, Sharon Williams Galforce looks a bit green, while Indigo Batik has a gray smoke. Navy blue is the purest color with no obvious undertones.
When you compare the colors to each other, Navy seems to be the “cleanest” or purest color compared to Galforce or Indigo Batik.
Sherwin Williams Misty: Why We Love It

Sherwin Williams Krypton: The Perfect Blue
SW Stardew is one of my favorite blues. Personally, our upstairs hallway is painted this color (but I won’t show it to you because I’m out of space).
The second photo is of the kitchen design, the cabinets are 50% Sharon Williams Stardew and 50% Uncertain Gray. Even at 50%, it shows the blue of the star very well.
We recently painted an office at Sharon Williams Waterloo and it was a very sophisticated color for the space.
Emily Henderson nails this family room and bar with Waterloo paint. Natural light floods the space, and warm fabrics and naturally woven furniture make the space feel cozy and luxurious.
Grey Paint Colors
This Sharon Williams Blue Indigo Batik can be used as a solid blue color for any wall or cabinet. Although it looks lighter on well-lit walls than on cabinets, it’s beautiful no matter what it’s used for.
I’m not sure if this is actually #1 Sharon Williams Blue. I probably like it more than the navy!
Gale Force is what I consider the color of a chameleon. It changes with the light and surrounding debris. Below is a beautiful built-in painted with SW Galforce.
Next, you’ll find yourself addicted to this tell-tale wall color. It pairs perfectly with those oversized floral prints and bright brass accents.
Coastal Paint Colors To Try In 2022
Finally, I can picture myself sitting in front of the fireplace with a cup of coffee and a book. This version of the Gale Force has such a great effect on the overall look, as the trim is also painted in the same color and there is no white paint to spoil. That’s exactly right!
Sharon Williams Navy is 2020’s color of the year, so it’s no surprise that it’s Sharon Williams’ best shade of blue.
In 2015 I painted my front door with navy exterior paint. Can we say I’m ahead of my time? I’m kidding, but it’s actually probably the color of the year because people love dark, bold, moody spaces, clean classic colors, and are moving away from everything gray.
Navy offers a true blue background without any weird purple undertones. In the photo below, you can see it in a few different ways, from walls to cabinets.
Fresh Blue Green Paint Colors For Interior Wall
While this color is a winner every time, it looks great in a south-facing room with plenty of natural light. If you plan to paint it in a room with little or no natural light, choose a moody look that can also be painted on the ceiling and add plenty of light fixtures and sconces for mood lighting. can do You get a library-like feel, a warm cocoon color.
For the living room, light blue is a good choice. If you have high ceilings or a large room, you can go a little darker.
There is no doubt that bold colors look great on exterior walls and front doors. Sometimes light blue looks light blue in natural light.
Decorative paint should be semi-gloss or high-gloss, and satin or flat wall paint looks great. Emerald Flat is the perfect paint for dark colors and smooth walls.

If you think you may have oil-based painted cabinets, paint over oil-based paint with Sherwin-Williams Alkyd Paint. You should lightly buff and sand, but no primer is needed when using alkyd paint.
