I fully appreciate that choosing a paint color can be a daunting task! Let me make it easy for you and grab my free 3-tip sheet for choosing paint colors here.

Snowberry’s Exterior Design & Paint Colors

In today’s post, I’m sharing some inspiration from last week’s vacation with my husband in the small town of Niagara-on-the-Lake. If you haven’t been to Niagara Falls and are thinking about it, you need to take a day trip there

Every year we hit the high street for some shopping and dinner This year we decided to mix business with pleasure and take some time to visit mature neighborhoods where the houses are very charming and often colorful.

In no particular order, let’s take a look at the top 10 door paint colors we came across. We’ve also matched them with Benjamin Moore or Pharaoh and Ball colors so you can see similar colors if you want to use them for your home.

Okay, when I said these are in no particular order, they really aren’t. However, this is my favorite image…at least, I think. There are many more beautiful doors to come, don’t worry about it.

Fresh Front Door Colors

I’m a purple lover and this door is a deep periwinkle color So fun and unexpected, I love it!

Black, white and yellow is a classic color combination and this house is just sweet, isn’t it!? A yellow front door looks so beautiful and like a ray of sunshine against a neutral white background

Green has been very popular this year, especially for cabinets. You may remember that I shared a bold green kitchen in this post from last year’s Kitchen & Bath Industry Show.

Check out the full image below and see how fresh it looks, framed with a cream tone and burgundy background. Red and green are opposites on the color wheel, meaning they are complementary colors and always look good together. In this case, it didn’t remind me of Christmas!

Outside Door Color

This beautiful color of Faraon and Ball is more intense burgundy than red The picture unfortunately has some shadows, but I’m not going to complain it’s sunny, so I hope you’ll forgive me!

Now this color will wake you up in the morning! This bright red is much brighter than the red-toned tailgate, which makes it stand out even more against the white trim. I’m not a big fan of red, so while it looks nice here, it wouldn’t be a color I could see myself choosing for my front door. and you

In my opinion, you can never go wrong with blue. Blue and white is a particularly popular and classic combination in interior design. The Lucerne from Benjamin Moore’s Affinity line seemed like the best color match for this bright entry door.

As far as contrasting color combinations go, this house was my favorite. I’m not a fan of bright yellow, but in this house, how it jumps out at you against the blue-gray panel.

Benjamin Moore Color Of The Year & My Palette Picks

Here you can see the stunning cottage in its entirety The garden is also beautiful and there is an outdoor terrace area with a wooden pergola to the side which looked very attractive.

I love the tone of green, especially the dark khaki tones used on this stunning front door and shutters. The whole color combination is so interesting that I’ve matched all three color schemes with the Pharaoh and Ball colors to see below.

Here we have a classic red brick building with dark blue doors, arch details above and bright white trim. I also worship the small black sign on the left side with the name of the house and the year it was built

Paints And Materials To Make A Statement With Your Exterior Design

I can’t post about bold front door colors without including an all-time favorite classic pure black.

One of the things I especially love about black doors is the addition of light colored crown molding, like the one you see here from Trip to Niagara on the Lake. Fresh greenery is also great for decorating a black door like Christmas

I’ve included a Benjamin Moore Pashmina paint swatch because it closely matches the trim you see in the black front door photo.

I couldn’t resist adding this second black door leading to the light turquoise house with white columns
