This warm light gray color makes everything feel beautiful and calm while adding dimension to these spaces that can feel a little cold when painted pure white.

I also get a lot of emails from readers asking about our kitchen cabinet colors. It’s actually called “Grimslov Grey” and it’s from Ikea (although the door color may be discontinued in some places now). I compared the paint at my local Benjamin Moore to their “Fusion” paint. It’s a warm gray and I think it gives our kitchen a relaxed and sophisticated feel. As much as I love white kitchens, I also love this recipe of gray.

In our second son’s bedroom as well as the downstairs bedroom, we used a gray color that I matched with Benjamin Moore Whitestone. It’s a light gray color with blue tints in most lights.
