The Kitchen Is Finished! A Look At The New Digs
Revere Pewter’s LRV is 55.51. LRV is a light reflectance value that basically tells you how much natural light the paint will absorb and reflect back into the room.
In general, higher values are better if you want to use less light in a room or need more privacy (eg bathroom). Low LRV paint colors will allow more light into the room and make it brighter.
Revere Pewter has a higher LRV than most other neutrals, making it perfect for spaces like kitchens! We wanted our kitchen cabinets to be painted in a way that wouldn’t absorb too much natural light—we wanted a bright, airy look.
Revere Pewter has a warm earthy feel that blends in beautifully with most home decor styles! If you are looking for kitchen cabinets with unique decoration, this might not be the best option for you.

Light to medium gray with warm tones Benjamin Moore Revere Pewter is considered a timeless and classic gray shade that complements any decor style match. It’s a great transition color that works well in open floor plans.
No doubt you’ve heard of Benjamin Moore Revere Pewter. This is undoubtedly one of the most popular and classic paint colors out there.
Revere Pewter is considered one of the original popular gray colors. Gray means that it is a mixture of gray and beige. It belongs to the light-medium range of colors, which gives it a great depth of color.
If you are looking for a clean, crisp, clear gray color, Revere Pewter is not for you. But one of these can also be gray.
Our Dining And Kitchen Makeover
Revere Pewter has an earthy, warm tone. It can get a bit messy at times, especially in dark rooms. Equipped with a lot of black furniture, it can look too beige.
Revere pewter also has a light green color that can sometimes be as pronounced as its strong beige color.
As a wall color, it works best in bright, open spaces with lots of natural light or light furniture, where its other tones—blue—will make it appear closer to gray without the dirty, flat tones. which can be accommodated in dark rooms.
I’ve only seen it look “true” brown once, and that was in a room that had windows on all three walls, which meant there was more light. Mostly, beige and green (and probably even more brown) are more likely to be present.

The tone is muted so be sure to sample the color on several walls and focus on it throughout the day. It might look perfect in the morning light, but you might hate the way it looks in the warm afternoon light.
As a reminder, LRV or Light Reflectance Value is the amount of light reflected from a surface when illuminated by a light source. Higher values (closer to 100) mean the color will reflect more light, while lower values (closer to 0) mean the color will absorb more light, making it appear darker.
Revere pewter’s LRV is 55, which means it’s roughly in the middle of the scale, meaning it doesn’t reflect or absorb much light.
Revere pewter is no longer as popular as it was a few years ago. At one time, it was the most popular gray color. Right now, I think Agreeable Gray probably gives it a run for its money, with Edgecomb Gray not far behind.

Cool, bright spaces are very popular right now, and sometimes Revere Pewter doesn’t give that feeling when applied to a wall. It is also one of those cryptic colors that have many undertones and can change color depending on the time of day and the furniture in the room.
Agreeable Gray stays true to its gray, which is one of the purest forms of gray + beige, unlike Revere Pewter, which is quite muddy in some places. Pleasant gray is also a slightly lighter color.
If I had to choose between the two, I would go for the pleasant gray because it doesn’t have the dirty green/beige color.
At first glance, they are similar, but if you put them next to each other, you will notice that they are not the same color. While both have a slight green undertone, Accessible Beige is warmer and has a slightly higher LRV of 58. Accessible Beige also leans more towards beige and gray undertones. Other than that, these are both great options if you’re looking for a gray paint color.
Choosing Kitchen Cabinet Colors
Revere pewter is very versatile in terms of colors it goes well with, but which one to choose depends on the look you want and which undertones you want to embrace or avoid.
I personally like it in combination with blues, especially navy. The contrast is stunning and the blue color helps balance some dirty beige tones that I don’t always enjoy. Add some bright white trim and you’ve got a pair made in heaven.
On the other hand, these beige tones also look great with coral and pink. If you’re looking for vibrant colors, this is a really cool look that would be perfect for a girl’s room.
Are you looking for a more neutral color or a traditional look? The combination of cream and white is a winner, while choosing an accent wall in a hue like Amherst Gray or Powell Gray (or SW Serious Grey, my favorite!) creates contrast while sticking to the same color family for a cohesive look. .
