Benjamin Moore November Rain is a very nice grey, it plays well with warm and wood tones. Our first home, an old Craftsman bungalow from the 1920s, had lots of original wood trim, and the November rain went well with the warm cherry wood. Fun fact – our first apartment was only 750 square feet and we lived in it for 4.5 years with two Great Danes and a toddler!

Another winner in my book is Benjamin Moore Classic Grey. We put it in the entryway of our current house and are going to paint the entire second floor hallway! This is one ash you can’t go wrong with. Not too blue or too brown!

We used Benjamin Moore’s Balboa Mist in the adjoining living room and dining room because those rooms are very sunny and we needed a little more gray to keep it from being too washed out. The Best Whole House Paint Colors For Any Home In 2022
SW Iron Ore is a popular dark gray charcoal color often used on doors, exteriors, furniture and accent walls. Iron ore is lighter black than Tricorn Black, Black Magic and Caviar. Iron Metal Pottery is part of the Spring/Summer 2020 color collection.
SW Black Fox lives differently than most of the blacks I recommend in this article. Black Fox shares the pattern with Repose Grey, Mindful Gray and Dorian Grey. SW Tricorn Black stays in the neutral paint family and is a darker black than Iron Ore and Black Fox. The color is true black without strong undertones (a good choice if you like true black shutters). Often used on exterior doors, window trim, furniture and statement walls.
SW Black has the same LRV score as Magic Tricorn Black and Caviar, all three are true jet blacks. Black Magic is redder than Tricorn Black, which makes it feel slightly warmer than Tricorn Black.

SW Caviar lives up to its name as a deep inky black in the neutral paint family. Tricorn is similar in color to black, but slightly brown. When comparing samples of Black Magic and Caviar, they were very similar.
SW GreenBlack is a modern combination of black and green. A slightly lighter black than Caviar, Black Magic and Tricorn Black. On a personal note, I chose this color (currently green) as an option for our front door and shutters.
