Best Office Colors Sherwin Williams – Hope you have a wonderful weekend! I had an amazing weekend in Atlanta attending the Haven Conference for DIY Bloggers. After almost four years of blogging, this is the first conference I’ve attended. It was an incredible and inspiring experience networking and learning from all my favorite bloggers. I can’t wait to share more about Haven later this week (after I get a chance to upload my photos), but let me give you a sneak peek at the special work I had the chance to do:
You know the two fabulous women on my right and left? Yep, that’s Shauna West (left) from Perfectly Imperfect and Miss Mustard Seed (Marianne) from Miss Mustard Seed (right). These ladies are two of the most talented furniture/decorative painters (and painting idols of mine) and I had the great opportunity to paint with them during the convention. I can’t wait to share with you some of the tricks and tips I learned from Sean and Marian over the next week. Hear the call!

Last week I finally got the chance to share my studio and office remodeling project with you. Thank you so much for all your lovely comments and emails! Sorry I can’t reply to everyone as I’m out of Haven City but you can bet I will later today. All I can say is that I am overwhelmed by all your kind words and notes of encouragement. You leave me speechless and that never happens to me. It means a lot to me to read your comments and thanks again from the bottom of my heart!
Sherwin Williams Sea Salt: The Perfect Coastal Paint Color
Before I start sharing my room makeover projects, I wanted to share with you my final color palette. When I started this project, I first posted the colors I planned to use, but unfortunately I had to change all my paint colors at the last minute. Because I let so much natural light into the new space, my primary paint colors took on crazy hues that I wasn’t expecting. I didn’t take my own advice and waited to pick my colors until the old dark red paint was off the walls.
My original colors weren’t terrible, but they needed a bit of a change, and here are the final colors I used for this room:
My study/craft room walls are Repose Gray (Sherwin Williams) and in the pictures they look white or gray, they are a light warm gray and all my cabinets and desk are Mental Gray (Sherwin Williams). ), which is a shade lower than the Rest gray shown on the card:
(If you look closely at the top left of the built-in shelf, you can see the gray heat a little better)

You can get a better feel for the wall color in this photo below (Repose Gray by Sherwin Williams):
I can’t tell you how amazing these two colors look in person. These colors are the perfect blend of light gray and warmth, keeping the gray from being too sterile and the warm tan from being too earthy. FYI.. In a room with a natural light tone, the gray will stand out more, and in a room with low natural light, a warm light tan will stand out.
For my end table in the middle of the room, I’ve been thinking French Grey/Blue (a blue gray with a hint of blue) for a long time and had to create a custom mix to get the color. I couldn’t find what I was looking for and played around with Repose Grey, Mindful Gray and Outerspace (all Sherwin Williams) until I got the color/proportion I wanted:
If you’ve been searching for the perfect French Grey/Blue and can’t find anything that isn’t too blue or too gray, you might want to check this out. I just love it and it looks really nice with the gray and navy. If you want to find a good French Blue/Grey, below is a photo collage with charts and formulas that you can print (or send a picture to your phone) and take to Sherwin Williams and ask for a sample. to you Inspection:

Remember that the paint will look purple until it dries. Don’t panic like me! French Grey/Blue has a purple/blue undertone.
For my slate ceiling paint, we mixed Sherwin Williams Boys Repose Gray with 50% white and the color is Sherwin Williams Snowfall:
It’s hard to tell in the picture, but in person it’s a shade lighter than the wall color and blends really well. Soon I will share how to make a slatted ceiling.
The other two colors in my color palette were not used for paint, but as accessories, fabric and accent colors in my artwork. I wanted to include these colors in the palette to give a better feel for this room and all the colors in the overall palette:

Outerspace is very close to our new Ikea sectional colors. It’s also very close to the blue/grey/deep blue I use in my fabrics and paintings:

One of my biggest goals was to get a lot of natural light in this room, but I had to work hard to get all my touches. A room full of natural light really brings out all the details of color and hue. They are difficult to match and can be a painful process (ouch!) I have never had a place with so much light and I can only imagine how great it would be for me to see the colors of the paint!
Thanks for being with me today and I’ll be back soon with more projects from this space and more details about my amazing experience at Haven! In my search for the best Sherwin Williams blue paint colors, I found two SW graphics of the best selling blues. Then it took me a while to find other tried and true blue paint colors that would add a nice touch to any room.
Color Of The Year, Evergreen Fog Sw 9130
We are talking about the color of the paint because that is the first thing I ask about. I usually get asked about whites (you can read all about the best SW whites here ), but when people want to go out, it’s usually about blues.
First, blue is a safe color. It makes a great neutral backdrop or can be edgy when paired with fun patterns. If you’re just starting to add color to your walls, blue is a great place to start. I’m doing pretty well with everything.
Next, if we look at fashion, along with black and white, blue is also a safe color. Jeans, suits, ties – blue is a natural choice for these clothing items outside of B&W.
So, I’m going to show you Sherwin Williams blue inspiration. Then I’ll give you the full list and some swatches of each color in a real room.
Tranquil & Relaxing Paint Color Guide
Now here are two graphics that Sherwin Williams created to showcase his most popular and best selling blues. And I have to say that I love them, which is not surprising.
They spend a lot of time doing market research and sales surveys to determine what people like and where the trends are going. We have a wide range of light and airy blues such as navy and deep blues.
Before delving into the characteristics of the best blues according to Sherwin Williams (and my personal preferences and experience), you need to understand the undertones.
Generally, the undertone of blue can be blue-violet or blue-green. Sometimes you will also have blue-gray.

What is the undertone? Hues are created by combining several colors, such as blue with black (blue) or blue with green (turquoise). The dominant color, sometimes called the mass tone or hue, is the color you perceive. The color you can’t see is the undertone. From paintzen.com
On top, Sherwin Williams Windy Blue has a slightly grayish tint, while Sherwin Williams Stardew has a grayish green tint. Do you see the color green in Stardew?
To determine the undertone, compare the color chip to the primary color and then to the secondary color. Comparing it with the same undertone color shows the undertone of the sample and you can easily tell the difference.
These subtle colors are revealed by changing light and combining them with the base colors of furniture or fittings.
