In the past, it was thought that painting your home with Revere Pewter would guarantee a quick sale. Probably yes! This belief is a big selling point in itself and makes all homeowners and real estate sellers choose this amazing color. Before other paints.
Due to its popularity, many people now associate PR with that era (about 10/12 years ago). By then, you may have heard that it is an outdated paint color.
But until 2022 you can use Revere Pewter in your home 100% successfully and it will still work fine!
You may be wondering if this paint works for your place?

While there is no universal perfect paint color, we hope this article gives you the information you need and helps you decide if Revere Pewter is the right paint color for you!
Do not worry, we will talk more about the lower voice later because it is so important! They also say it works well, especially with open floor plans.
But Revere Pewter is not just “gray”. This is a really interesting ink because it has such a wide range. Grays can be tricky, especially since they behave like “chameleon” colors, and Revere Pewter is no exception.
Revere Pewter is sometimes described as “muddy.” This can scare people because the word mud has a negative connotation. In fact, the word “cloud” is just a term used to describe gray, brown and “mixed” colors and other unsaturated colors – and there is nothing wrong with that. It just means it’s not pure, vibrant colors!
Kitchen: New Painted Cabinets & Walls
It is important to remember that gray / light brown / gray paint can vary greatly depending on how your room is exposed to the type of artificial lighting you use and even the color of the floor, furniture and finish. Used in your room. Space.
So just because Revere Pewter looks perfect in a photo on Pinterest doesn’t mean it will look like in your home either! There are many factors that determine how well a color will work in a room. Not to mention the professional, landscape and post-processing lighting that goes into professional photography. So keep that in mind when looking at photos online or in magazines.
It may seem contrary to intuition that green paint is considered a warm color – after all, isn’t green a cool color? 🇧🇷 It depends on the green you are talking about! In the case of Revere Pewter, the base color is comparable to olive green, which is a warm green. Therefore, the color is considered to be warm gray.
It seems to have a hint of green that feels like an unsaturated, round and opaque earth. If this is something that bothers you, then you probably want to stay away from this ink! Or you may not have noticed the green. It depends on how sensitive you are to color!
The Best Gray Paint Colors
I also do not recommend using Revere Pewter in rooms with pink tiles or rugs. Color behaves in relation to the colors around it. Since red and green are complementary colors, if you combine green paint with pink carpet, you will end up with walls that look too green and floors that look too pink.
What color does Revere Pewter match? This is a common suspicion. Many people are interested in the answer to this question – choosing a paint can be a little difficult!
About 10 years ago, most people combined green, dark blue and brown with Revere Pewter. While they are a beautiful palette, they look a bit trendy today.
In our decade it is still possible to wear RP in a modern way and let me tell you it looks like a completely new color! I think it looks best paired with a bold color that contrasts with the gray.
The Best Benjamin Moore Paint Colours For Home Staging / Selling
If the modern color combinations I mentioned above do not suit your situation, but you still want a contemporary look, then Revere Pewter is still there: I recommend pairing it with a healthy white level.
If you are looking for a white decor to match your Revere Pewter bedroom, you can check out any of the white paints I mentioned above.
When choosing a paint finish, check the shades of curtains and other items in the room.
The Revere Pewter LRV is at 55.51, so it is in the center of the light reflecting the color and amount of light it absorbs.
Our Favorite Neutral Paint Colors & A Paint Guide
Well, if you are considering using Revere Pewter for a low light room, remember that this color does not reflect much light (since it is in the middle of the LRV range).
So if you want to brighten up your room, this is not the best paint choice – you will have to choose a paint with a higher LRV (paint over 60 LRV).
Sherwin Williams Agreeable Gray has a higher LRV than Revere Pewter in the 60s, which means it has brighter colors and more light reflection.
Overall, Revere Pewter is darker and warmer, while Agreeable Gray is brighter and cooler. When you put the two swatches next to each other, it may not be much different. However, on large walls, these colors will look very different! So choose carefully 🙂
The 28 Best Light Gray Paint Colors For Any Home
There is a great post with lots of pictures that describe the differences between the two inks. If you are not sure which gray is best for you, I recommend checking out.
Sherwin Williams Accessible Beige also has a slightly higher LRV than Revere Pewter at 58. So overall, it’s brighter paint. It has a pink / gray tone.
The main difference between the two grays is that Accessible Beige is a warmer gray than Revere Pewter.
I have seen Revere Pewter work well in homes that like traditional decor. The soft, warm and saturated quality of this gray paint really brings out the curved furniture, the mold and the rich wood tone.
Choosing Interior Paint Colors
It also works well with traditional farm house decor or even a modern farm house (if the right color).
While RP is not the latest “paint boy” out there, there are definitely plenty of opportunities to incorporate it into a modern color scheme.
Frankly, my favorite place to use Revere Pewter right now is not on the wall, but in the closet!
Light brown cabinets go well with white walls, brass trim and black window frames. The kitchen also looks beautiful with marble countertops.
Revere Pewter By Benjamin Moore In A Real Home
Paint your door with RP and match it to a warm white – this is similar to what Zenia does in a nice house style and it looks amazing! She uses a Sherwin Williams ink called Into the Gloaming, which is very similar to Revere Pewter.
The owner decided to use Revere Pewter for all the doors and interior decoration and keep the walls white. This is an interesting and creative idea because most people have seen the contrasting white accents. On the colored walls.
Note the cut color above: Unfortunately, I do not know what color! The picture of the house is not mine and I did not choose the paint color so I can not know exactly what the white paint is in the decoration. I tried to find online logs of what color to use for cutting, but I could not find any information. I will include if I know! My suggestion is to take this photo to a local art expert and ask them what they think, their guess is as good as mine! Then take a sample and try it out in real life. Do not make decisions on drawings based on photos.
Revere Pewter is not gray or light brown; It is considered a “gray” paint! In a dark room it looks greener than in a lighter room it looks like a neutral warm gray.
Best Neutral Paint Colors That Never Go Out Of Style
This is a very important topic and if you are reading this then you know that the answer to this question depends on many different factors! Personally, I think the RP is too dark. If you feel the same way but really like the color, try increasing it by 50% to see if it works.
