Match Sherwin Williams To Behr
First of all: white colors are not really white. For evidence of what you need to understand the LRV.
Decorate With The 2022 Color Of The Year
The light reflectance value, or LRV, of any color is a number assigned to the amount of light that color reflects, with 0 being absolute black and C being pure white. The higher the number, the more light will pass through.
However, no white color actually has an LRV of 100. Sherwin Williams High Reflective White (which is one of the whitest whites you can get) is 93. Generally, anything 80 or higher is considered white and can be “off white” “. ~70-80. So you have to ask yourself how white (LRV closer to 90) or soft white (LRV closer to 80) you want your album to be.
And speaking of soft whites, the less white, the more colors (other shades) are added to soften the white. That “white” has some color added to it;
First of all, you need to consider the style. In general, a warm white will help create a cozy atmosphere and goes well with a traditional space. On the other hand, a cooler white can be sharper and more modern. These are generalizations, of course, but a good start if you know if you prefer a more classic or modern vibe.
Can Sherwin Williams Color Match Behr?
Secondly, you need to take into account the natural light of the room. North-facing rooms (at least in the northern hemisphere) tend to have slightly cooler light, while south-facing rooms tend to have warmer light. So if your room faces north, you’ll want to go with a slightly warmer white color to balance out the cooler natural light. And vice versa for the mansions to the south.
East or west rooms are tricky because the quality of light in those rooms will change throughout the day, but suffice it to say that the sunlight that hits west rooms is usually orange or pink. It can also be sneaky if the light coming into your home is filtered by lots of overgrown trees or nearby buildings that can reflect its colors back into your home.
Finally, you need to experiment with color in space. White colors are especially sensitive to the color of the light, the floor and other elements of the space… So I always test 2-3 colors before I do it. It’s worth the extra effort!
As I said, it is so important to experience the shade of color in the space itself, especially with white. I’ve never had a problem with walls covered in paint, but now I know it’s a problem. And given the hassle of changing paint these days, it’s exciting to have a better option.

After years of painting my houses and helping clients paint theirs, these colors have become my favorite albums.
This is the goal of many interior designers. Soft white (LRV 82) is a very delicate cream. Many whites, however, are different from creamy whites, and are gray or gray in color instead of yellow. Create a beautiful and elegant space that still feels cozy. It has many similarities with Benjamin Moore’s Swiss Coffee.
A shade very similar to Alabaster, but with a touch less yellow (so slightly, honestly, that my husband swears he sees the same thing), Silos White is also charming and cozy without being too warm or modern. eloquence

One of my favorite warm whites, Anas alba, is white and soft off-white. It’s still gray in the vaults, rather than a true yellow, which makes it a solid, warm, neutral color. With the LRV of 73, it is the best choice for outdoor albums because it does not shine as much in the sun as with the higher LRV. Exterior colors are usually lighter than interior paint colors. The interior color is darker than what you see below, but still soft and rich;
Grayer than Duck White, Aesthetic White is the best choice if you want soft, not warm, white walls. The white aesthetic is not cold either, rather, very pale and better if colored light enters the space. For example, in our last house, our bedroom only had one red brick window facing the house. Through that window a lot of light entered the neighbor’s house, throwing new pink colors around the room. The light was absorbed quite a bit in the whites, while the mid-subwoofer kept the place from looking pink or purple.
All the bedrooms and bathrooms in my house are Behr Cameo White – I’m not sure I could recommend it better! My favorite of the Behr whites, it’s a beautiful light gray and pairs especially well with Carrara marble (one of my favorite materials). It’s not too cold though and looks like a true soft white with an 81 LRV.
Like Cameo White, Snowbound is on the cooler side and basically looks true to white on bare walls. But with the LRV 83, smooth and elegant enough to let furniture and art shine.
Benjamin Moore Vs Sherwin Williams (which Paint Is Best For 2022?)
Such a list would not be complete without a few honorable mentions. My other Sherwin Williams white colors are definitely Sherwin-Williams Pure White (SW 7005) and Extra White (SW 7006).
Pure White with LRV 84 is slightly softer than Extra White with LRV 86. Pure White is also warmer to the touch. Both are great cabinet and trim colors and can blend well with your white walls (eg soft, pure white with alabaster walls) or with a brighter contrast (eg Extra White trim with attractive gray walls). Learn more about the white color (and brightness options) here.
If you’re looking for white, then SW High Reflective White, Benjamin Moore Simply White, or Benjamin Moore Chantilly Lace are good choices. Simply White is a bit warmer than the other two, but with the 91-93 LRV these three are some of the brightest options available.
Speaking of Benjamin Moore whites, White Dove with LRV 85 is similar in brightness to Auster Pure White, but a little warmer. And the 84 LRV white trim (similar to SW Extra White) has a fresh, distinctive flavor.
