After 5 months of interior renovations, we started tackling the back of our house and the back. With so many overlapping projects, it was actually A LOT on my plate for several months last year! After our construction and dock, we started the pool, back porch and outdoor bathroom all at once. You’ll see why this was necessary in a moment.

Pool design plans modern swimming pools – complete and ready to swim

We replaced the normal size glass door that was previously in our room with an 8ft storm glass door. We now have a nice backyard, but our dream house is not protected from the sun or the rain, so we decided to add a covered porch. We also wanted an outdoor bathroom called a pool so wet bathrobes wouldn’t slide around our house to use the guest bathroom down the hall. I have to say it was one of the best decisions we made.

The porch is 21×10 with a two foot height around the columns, to match the original 1970s roof. I wanted an A-frame style with as much space as possible to let in as much light as possible. Since we had already painted the doors and windows, I was afraid that it would be too dark in our room.

Here are some pictures of the progress of our porch. It was not very good, especially since the swimming pool was built at the same time.

I am really in balance. If you notice there are two columns close to each other on the right side of the porch. The engineer explained that we needed a third column for this step, so I suggested placing it near the two pools so that the pool door would be between the two columns.

Cost To Build A Ranch Style Home

The color palette I wanted was naturally simple and neutral. So the white columns and the paint make sense, since I decided to paint the whole house white. The ceiling is a natural white colored tongue and groove wood paneling. I specifically requested a slope so that the ceiling continues into the pool tub instead of installing a drip/ceiling which means the pool tub ceiling is also a pre-soiled tongue.

I didn’t spend much time deciding on the black color because I gave our contractor the leftover boards from our LVP floors and he brought back a pre-sample tongue and groove board that fit perfectly. I love the natural color.

I had the option of hanging a simple light or an outdoor fan. Since I already had two built-in panels above the dock bar, I thought a fan with a built-in light would make sense and be very useful in this space.

For the exterior I chose a modern matte black. I love the contrast of the all white, but it’s also a very subtle way to do things with the salt air. We live near water and everything perishes quickly. We replaced the existing wall light with an “up-down” light. There is a light on each side and I love the way the light projects on the wall. I also love that they don’t catch you off guard when you walk through the door. No direct light shines from outside. We also added a new wall skirting on the side of the pool bathroom door. Another great feature is that they have an auto on/off feature from dusk to dawn.

The team did a really good job of cleaning the area after each project, even though the pool contractors refused to lay the pavers. This is just one example of our incredible projects! Brick wall paint samples trying to decide which shade of white to go with.

But as you can see in the photo above, we painted the bricks black and white. (Sherwin Williams White). In the photos below, the gutters are covered with soil and cement and our grass is installed. I will blog eventually. 😉

After the porch was finished, I just ordered outdoor mesh lounge chairs for our pool. But they filled that space until I could decide what material to order.

Above the sliding glass door we chose a vertical board and wall. My husband and I tossed around the idea of building if we decided to stay that long, and the board and batten would go to the second floor. Even if it is impossible, it is always good to think ahead and plan for the future.

Everything You Need To Know About Ranch Style Houses

I decided to use it as a dining room where people can meet while using the pool. Really well done so far! I’m going to take pictures of this (almost) finished space to share with you soon! For now, here is an overview of the table and chairs I ordered. Everything is linked at the end of the post!

Don’t forget special dog toys. 😉 We still have our first failed foster family, Sasha (a black dog) and our current foster family, Betty (a boxer mix). It’s great fun to be there. Raised ranch-style homes are once again at the forefront of homebuyers. New interests encouraged home renovations.

According to the Association of Realtors, home buyers prefer open-plan homes with two floors. Ranch homes are spacious with an open floor plan. Since breeding was for young families, the new floor works well for today’s families.

Livestock development programs are no different from distribution programs. The split-level house has an impressive one level, with a second conversion half and a small staircase. The farmhouse has two floors built on top of each other.

A two-level structure has a lower level sunk below the level in the ground and an upper level above it. There are entries between the two levels on the hierarchy level.

The upgraded ranch has high ceilings, large windows and sliding doors. Garden spaces often include terraces and patios. There are few exterior features beyond shutters and porches.

For this remodeling, the designers used the first side front panel against the lower level.

The main windows are large and bring natural light into the living room. The renovation of the garden gives the house a neat appearance.

This homebrew comes from Ana G. House. 70s split level ranch and turned it into a cottage style home.

The old siding has been replaced with board and batten siding at the top and horizontal siding at the bottom and an attached garage.

Planters add depth to these homes. The new grey-blue front door creates the main theme.

This livestock farm is on one hectare. The landscape replaces the bushes so they don’t climb over the first floor windows to use the light source.

Melissa Straub and Second Wind Homes completed their home renovation. Cedar shingles provide comfort and complement garage doors and entry doors with sidelights that bring more light inside.

For this renovation, the owners replaced the old shingles on the upper level with brick on the lower level.

Farms have living quarters. Breeding stock is smaller than new housing. If you need more space, you can expand the living area outside with a large balcony.

Realtors and builders understand that farmhouses have a lot to offer in terms of space and comfort. Here’s an updated version of the interior for you to consider.

Home Exterior Makeover Before And After Ideas

In this renovation, Ana G. Homes removed a wall to create an open plan. They enlarged the kitchen with a large island and painted to make everything easier and more beautiful. They also raised the ceiling to give the illusion of a larger space.

This artist uses the same technique in his creations. They raised the ceiling, added a skylight to increase natural light. In addition, they have wooden ceilings.

Melissa Straub and her team focused on a few key points. They add more storage space and give the room more space to diversify the use of parquet.

Farms have an interior. Inside there is a half staircase to the upper level and a half staircase to the lower level. Unrenovated homes have enclosed entry steps that block natural light.
