Sherwin Williams Exterior Trim White – We are excited to announce that we have selected exterior colors to paint our new home. This is a great test for us and for many others. I mean, watch out, the house is full of judgment. If it wasn’t for Henry setting things up for me and all of our amazing followers I would be in a lot of trouble. Tough decision for me!
So, drum roll please…we want to go with the Sherwin Williams White Duck! Not only has this color been a hit with our audience, we’ve loved it since day one. We want to be 100 percent sure so we went through the process here.
Sherwin Williams Exterior Trim White
The first step is to eliminate the exterior color from the three options. We know that we want it white, not fleshy, not too soft.

After much research, we found three contenders: White Duck, Natural Selection, and White Oyster, all from Sherwin Williams.
After that, we performed the test with three constraints. I highly recommend trying the actual color on the clay. This allows you to see in real light what the real color is on your wall.
After putting three colors on the brick, we made sure to get feedback from others, including Instagram followers. It’s just fun so everyone can participate. The first time we posted on Instagram, White Duck won by a landslide. To help with our decision, we turn to the audience again to see it from the other side.
We feel like Natural Selection, just a little softer. We found White Oysters similar to White Shield, but brighter.
Sherwin Williams Pure White Exterior: Our Farmhouse Is White!
With a lot of help from inspirational photos (especially the house below from Garden Homes), our followers, and real evidence, we finally came up with a plan! We could have gone with our gut feeling from the beginning, but we really wanted to. After all, it’s really expensive to change if we realize we don’t like it after painting the whole house.
We loved Duck White from the start and got to know it better as time went on. Our house is now finished, and time to see these colors in different lighting and paint seasons, we are glad we made this choice. As 2020 draws to a close, this year’s Sherwin Williams exterior paint colors reflect a renewed interest in our homes as a place to relax and a way to express ourselves.
Many of the popular colors we see when the exterior of the house is included in the “natural” area. This can mean anything from light, airy and bright colors to a warm medium. The color of this house evokes calm, peace and harmony.
Another big trend we’ve noticed is conflict of interest. High contrast colors are popular, as is the inclusion of mixed materials and textures in home design. A more modern twist on a classic home style using an unexpected dark color palette – especially in the warm color family – is the trend towards antiquity.

Not to be confused with Benjamin Moore’s shade of the same name, Alabaster by Sherwin Williams is a soft white color that can be adapted to use. This popular neutral tone can be used in any type of home, from modern Spanish to traditional brick. Alabaster is soft and earthy. It complements a variety of materials, including natural wood, stone, copper, earth, and copper.
A slightly lighter white power? Snowbound is a good choice. Its LRV 83 is only one point higher, or closer to pure white, than Alabaster. It is also white, but the color is more pinkish white than alabaster beige. You don’t want to use it with brown, beige, or taupe. Nice blue, with darker charcoal gray accents, and tile roof.
The 5 White Exterior Paint Colors We Tested
Moving on to white brings us to Sherwin Williams’ best color of the year: Shoji White. This is another shade of color. His LRV 744 adds the sharp white of the more pure white fugitives; but he can see almost in white in white surroundings. The picture above shows it in a cool, white, white color, which helps to call out the neutral beige and gray colors. It is on the edge of the white category, but lighter than greige. Shoji White is one of our designer’s favorite colors along with Urban Bronze (which may or may not be on this list…).
Now let’s take things a different way. It’s a staple of modern home design, and it’s as beautiful as it gets outside of White. This color name is based on a relatively high LRV of 86.
We love it when Extra White is used in a variety of decor and contrasting accents, such as the roof, windows, and lighting in the design above. Do you want to see the beautiful copper pipes? The doors and roof are in Sherwin Williams Passive, a neutral gray.
We called it last year and our co-founder predicted the end of 2019: we see the return of Beige. The accessible beige is warm, not yellow…a bit more gray than gold. Warm, earthy and beautiful with natural wood. Also great on the side!
Sherwin Williams Extra White Review
Another lighter shade for those who don’t want white or white, this white is a neutral gray. Silent gray is a low dream color used to stress dark carbon, brown materials such as black walnut, copper metal.
This dark purple color is a bold color choice to use throughout your home, as in the first example above, or it can be a nice contrasting color for a single design element, like on a wall. the patio directly above. The copper metal between Kendall Charcoal and Soot (also Benjamin Moore) falls into darkness. It has 6 LRVs, which are of course dark. Warm tones help to combine materials that come in many shades of brown: stone, mulch, brass, copper, and wood of course.
The next house is painted in a dark exterior color, Tricorn Black, a slightly darker gray than Iron Edge, darker than Onyx by Benjamin Moore, one of our favorites. Low LRV 3. This deep color brings out the edges and is an ideal color for door windows, front doors and shutters.
Sherwin Williams Urban Bronze is the color of 2021, and rightly so. This gray with brown undertones is a favorite in a variety of situations. Its appearance can vary from day to day – the coal can be more or less brown. It is beautiful throughout the house and is my favorite accent color to paint.
Exterior House Color Schemes For Every Architectural Style
Copper is a neutral city in the world that is good for everyone and everyone is inspired. Consider lighter cedar, or walnut veneer, and natural stone. Take it industrial with black metal trim or for outdoor teak furniture. Although cut from the white pair, the high quality palette remains the same. However, our designers combine it with darker colors such as Benjamin Moore Black pair.
We love it when a client wants something bold, and painting your home with Sherwin Williams Black Magic delivers stunning results. A great choice for mid-century modern home buyers. It needs a bit of heat so it doesn’t get too meaty, so make sure you match it with warm wood or metal and the color can pop if you live in an area that doesn’t have it. green throughout the year. Neutral is good, but sometimes our customers want something a little more, well, happy. Cascades by Sherwin Williams is a beautiful, rich blue-green that is bold and cheerful. Since this is a deep color, we recommend pairing it with softer accents rather than something too light, which can make the color palette look old.
