Best Exterior Paint Colors For Brick Houses
It gives more boldness between the general background color and some details without turning the house down. For most people, the goal is for it to look and feel good, and just “oh, that looks good!”, Wow.
The base color is usually the midline or neck. Sometimes this is called the color of the skin. It will be a rich shade that you can live with for a long time or neutral enough to resell.
This color can be a big investment, so it makes sense to choose something that can serve as a good background for years to come.
You can quickly and easily change areas like your front door or windows to a neutral color, so choose wisely here. This is the time to think about the architecture of your home and neighborhood and take a good look at heritage colors. These colors tend to be colors that have been around for a long time and are unlikely to go out of style anytime soon.

You also want to think about whether you want the color of your house to match the other houses in the area (most of the time the answer is yes!) You don’t want to be “that family”. If you don’t want to be it, do it – whatever makes you happy!
The second color is usually found in earlier stones, such as fieldstone, slate, or perhaps the brick we are talking about today.
The second color can be the decoration of the house – facades, gutters, window moldings, moldings, etc. If there are not many stones, I always keep it as an “almost neutral” color, a “secondary” color, because you need and want a different finishing color in many cases.
Some houses use a finishing color that matches the stone and can act as a “second group”.
Front Door Colors For Brick Houses
This combination of secondary colors shouldn’t take too much of the front of the house because you don’t want your stone and trim to compete with the main color of the house, but you want to have this color more neutral than your accent color. . .
This color is ideally suited to visually break up the facade of a house, to highlight structures (such as windows, gables, flower beds, and balconies) and to add depth or balance to what can sometimes be a large, flat square. In most cases, you want a large contrast between the secondary and primary colors.
A bright, bold or eye-catching color may be appropriate for the front door, but it would look crazy if the entire house included a third color, the accent color.
This is the place to be brave and choose something that makes a statement. It can be a place to show some personality in exterior colors or just use color to create atmosphere.
Interior Paint Colors That Go With Red Brick
The accent color doesn’t have to be a bright red door that lets all passers by recognize your style, it can be a deep charcoal color for the curtains or a soft butter yellow for the porch floor. This is a place to style.
There is a design theory about the perfect ratio of these three colors: 60:30:10. It gives the first color, the second color, and the second color. Use this link, it’s your friend!
To use this information on the exterior of the brick, you must use the brick as one of three colors. Depending on the size of the brick, it can be a primary or secondary color.
Before you look at other colors, you should reconsider the shade of your brick. Colors can vary from place to place and from brick to brick, but a typical brick can be red, coral, orange, peach yellow, gray or purple.

Taking a digital photo and viewing it from a distance can help with this if it is not immediately clear. The image also helps when looking at colors.
Be sure to hold the pieces against the brick and photograph the whole set together to get a different view of how the colors work together.
Consider the color of other building materials. If they are permanent or you don’t want to change them now, they should match well with the chosen colors of the facade. Look carefully at these areas: roof, window molding and frames, siding, stucco, vinyl siding, flower bed or planter construction.
Some of these you can paint your main or secondary color, but some are just soldiers, so you have to work with them. You always have to be able to work around things that cannot be changed, and sometimes it’s amazing how different things can look with the right colors… so yes, there is hope for the beauty of that ugly roof. Save to give back!
How To Stain Brick
Landscape also plays an important role. The colors of the flowers, flowers, plants and trees that dominate the front of the house should also be seen properly.
If you have a bold planting of colorful roses in front of your home, you’ll want to make sure your color matches or matches them, or be prepared to move them to another location and do something nice. . in selected colors.

Although these same colors create a monochromatic color scheme, their different undertones provide subtle contrasts. Simply White (painted here on the edges) gives off a warm glow that contrasts with the gray undertones of Seapearl (painted on the brick).
