Best Taupe Paint Colors Benjamin Moore – I’ve had dozens of emails since last year asking about this kitchen remodel, specifically the cabinet color, and my answer has always been, “This is the color from the manufacturer: Oats by Thomasville.” But the follow-up question I get is, “Well, do you know a paint color combination?”
Some will call this color greige, some will call it mushroom, some will even think it’s khaki, but I’ve always called it taupe, a balance between tan and gray and a desirable neutral. It looks amazing paired with matte brass hardware on the cabinets.

So I visited all my local paint suppliers, got about a hundred mole samples, then took a sample from the cupboard and compared them all. (This photo was taken under fluorescent lights at Home Depot. The closest colors to my Oats cabinet are 1) Sherwin Williams ‘Shitaki’, 2) Benjamin Moore Zika ‘Pashmina’, 3) Benjamin Moore ‘Stone Fireplace’ and 4) HG Sherwin Williams ‘Loggia’.
Finding a great broom can be difficult, but not impossible. You don’t want shades of green, yellow or lavender. I’ve narrowed down a huge collection of brown colors for you to choose from!

If you’re looking for a soft neutral that works with any decor, you’ll want to add Edgecombe Gray to your list of options. It has subtle warm gray tones and feels warmer when used in south or west facing rooms and cooler in north and east facing rooms.
