With the purchase of this cooktop, two (2) versions are included in the cooktop kit – one is an uninsulated, unheated version for 3 season use. The walls are 2” x 4”, the floor joists are 2” x 8” and the beams are 2” x 8” for the roof. The second is an insulated and heated 4-season version. For this, the walls are 2” x 6”, floor joists are 2” x 10” and the roof is designed with grids. Both versions are delivered on screw piles for stability. Other optional bases are available.

All home designs are designed to meet the building codes of when and where the original home was designed.
In addition to the house floor plans you ordered, you may also need a floor plan showing where the house is located on the property. You may also need joists sized to meet the specific roof load of your premises. Your carpenter can usually help you with this. A septic tank project may also be required unless your property is served by a sanitary sewer system. Many areas now have regional energy codes that must also be followed. This usually involves filling out a simple form that provides documentation that the home plans are compliant.
Barn Plan: 2,820 Square Feet, 2 Bedrooms, 2.5 Bathrooms
In some areas, there’s one more step you need to take to make sure your home’s plans comply with local codes. Some areas in North America have very strict engineering requirements. Examples of this are, but are not limited to, the earthquake prone areas of California and the Pacific Coast, the Florida, Gulf Coast and Carolina Hurricane Zones. New York, New Jersey, Nevada and parts of Illinois also require an evaluation by a local professional. If you are building in these areas, you will likely need to hire a licensed structural engineer to study the project and provide additional drawings and calculations required by your building department. If you’re not sure, building departments usually have a flyer that gives you a list of everything you need to submit and get a building permit.
Also, stock plans do not have a professional stamp. If requested by your building department, they will only accept a stamp from a licensed professional in the state where you plan to build. In this case, you need to take the blueprints of your home to a local engineer or architect for inspection and stamp.
