Light Greige Paint Sherwin Williams – Do you catch a lot of greige? I’m sharing ten of the best, tried and true greige paint colors to help you make the right choice!

I am in the process of refining the look of our living room and am looking for the perfect greige to repaint this space. Lucky for me, I have a great group of home decor enthusiasts (you!) who were willing to share your greige paint colors! I asked for your favorites on Instagram and Instagram Stories and compiled 500+ responses to find the top ten greige paint colors—the ones most of you have used, loved, and would recommend to others.

Light Greige Paint Sherwin Williams

Before I dive into these ten favorite greige paint colors, I wanted to offer a few words of caution – the same paint color on your home won’t look exactly like it does on someone else’s. The amount of light, the look of your room and the furniture in the room can all have a big effect on how the paint color looks, and it’s better to get this by choosing your paint color instead of noticing it once you painted It. . the whole room. I highly recommend getting paint samples from your competitors to see how each looks in the room you plan to paint.

No Fail Greige Paints

I used to use paint colors by getting a sample of each pint and painting it on a wall or poster, but since writing this post I’ve switched to using Samplize samples that you can buy. These are peel and stick samples that have actual original paint rolled into them so the color is more accurate than printed samples like you get from color strips. And it’s a lot less work than painting the wall samples yourself. I love that you can rearrange the samples in different areas of your room and how easy it is to place different samples side by side for comparison.

I usually narrow it down to 3-4 favorite paint colors to try, but in this post I’m posting nine of my ten favorites (all but the lightest greige) so I can share them with you! It’s amazing how these ten greige colors are really very different from each other (just so you know this picture looks a little shaded, but I kept it that way because I think it represents the true colors much better than describing them):

I’m a huge fan of Anew Gray and it’s one of my favorites for our living room. This is a very warm, mid-range greige with the deepest greige in the range. If you’re looking for a greige that’s rich in color without being too dark, this might be for you. And in my shiny environment where weird undertones tend to come out with a lot of greiges, the Anew Gray swatch I put on the wall didn’t surprise me. Behr Wheat Bread was one of the new greige paint colors for me that many of you have been using and enjoying! Not surprisingly, it has the same LVV as Revere Pewter, as the two colors are almost identical in color, but Behr Wheat Bread leans more towards the beige side than Revere Pewter. Best Greige Paint Colors

Revere Pewter was voted the #1 best greige paint color by readers and is also my favorite. There is no single “fail” paint color, but Revere Pewter is pretty close, it looks great

Wherever. A few years ago when my sister called me in a panic that her painter was there and she didn’t like how things looked with the paint color she chose for her living room, Revere Pewter was the color I recommended she try as she It. to choose something else at that time. Alpaca is a bit more gray than beige, and in some spaces it can throw off purple undertones (which it certainly does when sampled in my living room). But it worked well for a few of my students and looks perfectly neutral on Emily from the fabulous gender neutral nursery Table and Hearth:

The Best Warm Gray Paint Colors

Earth Gray is not too warm, not too cool, not too dark, not too light, a greige paint color at the top of my list of favorites! I love this beautiful farmhouse bathroom from Shannon of Fox Hollow Cottage:

Repose Gray is a color I have personally seen and love and it is one of your favorites. Sometimes it can have pink undertones depending on the kind of light it gets. I love this photo of Repose Gray in Marnie Hansen’s elegant foyer because it shows how the color can change slightly depending on how much light hits it:

Agreeable Gray is a color that has repeatedly emerged as the most popular and works in multiple areas. It’s quite simple, but still has enough depth to make it attractive and is the go-to color for several of my decorative friends. It’s just like the name says…it’s compatible with almost any space. Linda from Home I Made used Agreeable Gray in the office guest room and it looks like a good choice:

Of the nine paint samples I put on our living room wall, Balboa Mist had the second lowest purple undertone of the greige paint colors (most were Alpacas), but again, my space tends to bring out those undertones more than most . It has been listed as your favorite time and time again, so of course it works well in many places. I love it in Annie’s living room from DIY Decor Mom:

Behr’s Silver Drop is a light gray with just a hint of beige to warm it up. It looks gray in some spaces and more like greige in others. It’s absolutely stunning in this beautiful living room by Studio McGee:

Classic Gray is the lightest of the group and is a nice light gray without being cold – the name actually describes it quite well! This is the only greige paint color on the list that I didn’t choose for the living room wall, just because I knew it would be too easy for what I wanted. But there was a great choice of wall colors in this beautiful room by Studio McGee:
