Benjamin Moore Classic Color Collection – The question I get is about paint color. I totally understand. Choosing a paint color, whether for one piece of furniture, a room, or your entire home can be a difficult task. I love to paint – no surprise there, I’ve painted and repainted (and repainted) every room in my house. As my taste and style have changed over the years, so has the color palette in my home. I often paint rooms in my house using soft, warm colors and soft blues.
Since I have had so many questions about the paint colors I used, I compiled them all and will share them today. All paint colors are Benjamin Moore.

The main floor of our house is very open and most areas are interconnected. To allow the open space to flow and feel cohesive, I painted the entryway, living room, dining room, living room, and hallway in Balboa Mist. It is gray and soft. I would describe it as “greige” in tone. All the trim and wainscoting in our house is custom painted, but it’s close to Benjamin Moore “Cloud White” which is a soft white surface without too much yellow.

I painted our little powder room “Cumulus Clouds.” It’s very similar to “Balboa Mist” but a shade or two darker.
There is little wall space in the kitchen. There is only a little cheese on the cupboard, above the window and next to the fridge. I painted it in a warm gray, “Silver Satin.”
The master bedroom has six windows so there is plenty of natural light. I painted it with “Grey Grey” which is a very beautiful gray.
I recently remodeled my daughter’s bedroom. You can see his full room tour here. He wanted the walls to be painted a calm and soothing blue. We chose “Donkey Slippers.” It is a beautiful blue with gray undertones.

In the guest/kids bathroom, I added a color in “Newburyport Blue.” A full room tour is available here.
The office is on the first floor, but French doors separate it from the rest of the house, making it a good candidate for a contrasting color. I painted it with “Gray Wisp” which is blue/green/grey. I love the end panels that I painted in General Finishes Tavern Green.

I started with my main color choice for the house, which was throughout the main living room. I chose Stonington Gray (HC-170) because it is a soft gray color that goes well with other grains, it is very different from white, and it can change the light so it looks good Time is still tied.
So I chose the bold tones of Kendall Charcoal (HC-166) and Hale Navy (HC-154) which play well with the main color tones and add drama to the piece. Eucalyptus will replace it.

For the bathroom I chose a simple color, but complementary to the main color choice. In terms of space, Wickham Gray (HC-171) is ideal.
It’s easier for me to choose a color scheme to paint the whole house when choosing from this collection because they work so well together, especially when things are in the same color family. As you can see below, the classic colors go well with this new design!
