16 X 40 Mobile Home – Another deluxe 16×40 cabin was completed by The Backyard & Beyond. We had fun with this cabin because it had some modifications. First, we used cement board paint on the outside of the cabin to give it the look of a stone surface, which helped break up the curb appeal. We finished the front with a white Dutch trap and gray stripes and stripes. It’s hard to see in the photos, but the gables at each end of the cabin have Cedar Cove white vinyl siding. We put insulation inside the roof before covering it with metal roofing.
Our standard windows are 24′ x 36′, but we upgraded to 36′ x 60′ on this cabin, which lets in lots of natural light and gives it a spacious feel. Attic has 14 x 21 windows. We built two 3 foot wide skylights on the roof, these lights are for the upstairs bedroom and bathroom. Roof lights are optional and can be placed wherever desired. We make three of them in a row. There is also a double dormer that flanks the windows.

The interior of this deluxe cabin is insulated with foam insulation. We also install plumbing for bathrooms, kitchen sinks, toilets, sinks, and washer and dryer tanks. We have installed them in many stores, indoor and outdoor lighting, ceiling fans, and ceiling lighting. All plumbing and electrical wiring were then covered with plasterboard. We have installed a ladder that will be used to reach the skull. It folds up when in use and can be folded up against the wall when not in use. The bedroom in this cabin is 10ft x 15ft with a 7ft x 10ft bathroom.
