In fact, its name is very apt as it really is a very pleasant color that works almost anywhere!
Pleasant Gray has an LRV of 60. LRV, or light reflectance value, is a number that describes how light or dark a color is on a scale of 0 to 100.
The closer the number is to 100, the brighter it is (white is brighter). The closer the number is to 0, the darker (blacker) it is.

At 60, Pleasant Gray has enough saturation to be a distinct color (not white!) but light enough to not feel overwhelming.
Agreeable gray has a warm beige shade. Depending on the light, it can lean more towards its beige or gray side. In general, it is slightly warm in warm bright light and slightly gray in dark places with cool light.
That said, it is one of the purest forms of greige. If you’re looking for gray, you really can’t go wrong with this color. It does not have a purple or green color like many other warm grasses.
Sherwin William’s Pleasant Gray works especially well with white trims, blues, greens and neutral colors.

All these colors can be used interchangeably throughout the home to complement the pleasant gray. Agreeable Gray tends to stay true to its gray color, being one of the purest forms of gray + beige, unlike Revere Pewter, which looks muddy in some places. Pleasant Gray is also a slightly lighter color.

If I had to choose between the two, I’d go with Pleasant Gray because it doesn’t have a muddy green/beige shade. It is also an extremely popular “neutral” color in terms of resale value.
While Revere Pewter was incredibly popular 5 years ago, Pleasant Gray has overtaken it in recent years, partly due to the desire for ever-brighter spaces that Revere Pewter doesn’t always reach.
It’s similar to Pleasant Gray with LRV 58 vs 60 – both produce bright colors but with enough saturation to provide contrast next to the white finish.
Repose gray is not exactly gray, more of a warm gray. It’s definitely more gray than a pleasant gray and also has a slightly darker gray undertone that can bring out the faintest shade of pink under certain lights.
