It’s a nice transition color that works well in an open floor plan.
You’ve no doubt heard of Dear Peter by Benjamin Moore. It is definitely one of the most popular and classic colors.
River Pewter is considered one of the most popular original gray colors. Greige means it’s a combination of gray and grey. It is in the pale medium range of color, giving it a deep hue.

If you are looking for a clean, fresh and light gray then Pewter River is not for you. But one of those colors is gray.
Revere Pewter has terrain, passion. It can get a bit muddy at times, especially in dark rooms. When combined with many dark furniture, it is very luxurious.
Pewter also has a slight greenish tint to it, sometimes appearing as a solid brown.
As a wall color, it works well in bright, open spaces with lots of natural light or bright furniture, and its other colors—blue—closer to gray, and nothing under a rug. It can reach dark places.

I saw it once as a “real” gray, in a room with windows on all three walls, which meant it was very spacious. Often appears gray and green (and may even be banded).
Infrastructure So sample a few wall colors and get noticed throughout the day. It might look perfect in the morning light, but you might hate it in the heat of the afternoon.
Note that LRV or Light Reflectance Value is the amount of light reflected when the surface is illuminated by a light source. A higher value (closer to 100) means the color reflects more light, and a lower value (closer to 0) means the color absorbs more light.
Revere Pewter’s LRV is 55, which puts it roughly in the middle of the scale, meaning it neither reflects nor absorbs light.
The Best Gray Paint Colors
River nesting is not as popular as it was a few years ago. At one time it was the color of gray. Now, I think Agreed Gray is probably giving it a run for its money, and Edgecombe Gray isn’t far behind.
Fresh, bright spaces are very popular right now and often don’t feel right when applied to Revere Pewter walls. It’s also one of those subtle colors that has a lot of tone and can change color depending on the time of day and the furniture in the room.
Acceptable gray sticks to black, which is one of the purest shades of gray + red, unlike the riverbed, which is muddier in places. Gray is also a slightly lighter color.
If I had to choose between the two, I’d pick Acceptable Gray because it doesn’t have the mud/green undertones.

At first glance they look similar, but when you put them side by side, you see that they are not the same. Both have less green color, but the honey available is warmer and has a slightly higher LRV of 58. An accessible pink depends on the gray as well as the gray. Overall, these two are great options if you’re looking for a gray paint color
River chestnut is incredibly versatile in its color scheme, but choosing them depends on your look and what tone you want to achieve or avoid.
I love it with blue, especially navy. The contrast is amazing, and the blues help set off some muddy tones that I don’t always like. Add a little white trim and it’s a match made in heaven.
On the other hand, this khaki tone works well with coral and pink. If you’re looking for a pop of color, this is a really cute idea that would be perfect for a little girl’s room.

Looking for a more neutral color or traditional look? It’s a winner when paired with creams and whites, while choosing an accent wall in a color like Amherst Gray or Paul Gray (or my favorite, SW Heavy Grey!) creates a contrast that looks great when paired with the same color family.

In the bedroom above, you can see how the river water is almost a warm gray. It’s light and bright – just what a homeowner is looking for in 2023 with paint colors. Earthy greens and browns are mostly avoided due to light furniture, white decor and light furniture.
This glossy palette shows how Pewter Gray can look good in the right light. White curtains and matching chairs look like an all-gray color scheme
Benjamin Moore Revere Pewter The Perfect Paint Color?
In both rooms above you can see the hottest part of the river. When the warm light comes in, the warm tones of the wood, cream-colored sofas and chairs, as well as the brick fireplace, are drawn in all the warm tones of the paint.
While this room has some dark furniture, the white crown molding, light floors and lots of natural light make the walls very cool. Black accents in this space help block the heat, as opposed to brown wood that hints at warmer tones.
If you’re reading this, you’re probably thinking of a tribute to the walls of your home, or even to your exterior. I absolutely love this color for interior cabinets and doors. It’s really cool and will give your home a new look!
I always do
