But after 10 years with two houses and black walls in our master bedroom, we were ready for a change. We’ve been talking about repainting for a while, so we were very excited when Behr asked if we had any upcoming projects. Usually we think about projects, but the bedroom was at the top of the list and we jumped at the chance.

It is an easy option to paint. But after deciding, choosing the right color is difficult. Since we live on the beach, beach chairs seem like a logical choice. And nothing says beach house more than a clean, white look.
It was going to be a big change from all black walls to white and trim walls, so we had to get the color right.
We created black and white walls, but the result was the same. In the first renovation of our house in 1920, the windows and siding were painted, and the last thing we wanted to do was the windows and trim. We lived in many houses with painted windows and it was a never ending story. When you start painting and trimming the windows, it seems like the windows won’t work and will open and close easily. And there is nothing we love more than the gentle sea breeze of spring and autumn.
When we decided on white, we went straight to our Home Depot store and got color charts of every shade of white that Behr makes. There is a lot of white color, a lot of shortening arguments and a lot of angry “what ifs”.

Like all the products we use today, technology is an amazing thing. Assuming you have color vision, it can be searched and matched in store. However, our windows are brand new and do not match the current color. Another great way to match any color, including white, is to look at color chart images in natural light at different times of the day in the room. Some colors were lost immediately. For other colors, we attach them to the walls next to the decor and see the images at different times of the day, while moving and changing the light. Once we narrowed it down, we went back to Home Depot and bought two models that best fit the window covering. We painted two large areas near the trim and checked several times during the day in natural light. Swiss Coffee is a tight game.
Color finish is a personal choice. We have chosen flat carpet for the walls and satin for decoration. Most people choose a semi-bright color for their makeup, but we think it’s too bright. Either way, you can’t go wrong.
BEHR DYNASTY Interior Paint provides a one-coat coating. In our case, we painted it black, so we gave it two coats. We’ve done a lot of painting (and used different types) in every house we’ve owned over the years. But from experience, we can say that the BEHR DYNASTY interior paint works hard and leaves no marks, as is common with different paints and qualities. We can see how a table is enough in many cases. It is a unique color in terms of coverage and ease of use. Cleanup was quick and easy with warm water.
On one wall, we also have three narrow picture shelves (from Ikea). Since the walls are black, of course the shelves are also black. We weren’t quite sure how the paint would cover the counters and after some hesitation we decided to paint. We used a satin finish, we also used it for the finish and it went well with the whole installation and a very nice finish. You can’t tell it’s black.

Behr’s Dynasty paint line is an excellent choice for interior and exterior paint jobs, with high-quality paint that provides excellent application and a beautiful finish.
The Behr Dynasty interior line has four finishes: matte, eggshell, satin and semi-gloss. This range offers three exterior finishes: flat, satin and semi-gloss.

There are also situations where more than one table is needed. You’ll need extra coats if you’re painting thick, greasy, heavy surfaces, or if you’re working on wood like hardwood, red or cedar. When covering stubborn stains, you may need to use a primer, apply additional coats, or let the paint dry longer.
Due to the paint’s durability and corrosion resistance, it is good for places like the kitchen that are prone to spills, wear and tear. Outdoor line is great if you need quick drying paint or plan to paint your home in a cooler location. Can be used in a temperature range of 35°F to 90°F.
Behr Marquee is around $50 to $60 for interior paint and $65 to $70 for exterior paint, which is more expensive than the Ultra and Premium Plus lines, but cheaper than Dynasty.
