The old bricks of this house have deteriorated due to being whitewashed 5 years ago. In fact, the exterior brickwork is almost whitewashed, but slightly more faded with signs of wear. As a result, we applied two top coats of masonry primer and quality exterior latex paint.
The color we chose for the brick is Snowbound. In fact, our design experts chose Sherwin Williams Snowbound (SW 7004) as their favorite exterior brick color for 2021.
We combined this popular white brick color with Smoky Blue (SW 7604) shutters and front door to match. We used dusty blue and black shutter colors to coordinate with the existing copper gutters and downspouts. Results from before and after photos look like HGTV transformations.

In the end, we decided to use Iceberg (SW 6798) as our white exterior paint color. We chose Tricorn Black for our trim color. As a result, the new white trim color really stands out against the black trim and lush landscape. Undoubtedly, it is a post-modern restoration that proves impressive.

This exterior repaint required us to match the brick to the blue weatherboard siding that was on the upper side of the house. Today’s brick colors are reminiscent of pastel touches that clash with blue upholstery. With our recent pressure wash we left the front brick exposed and didn’t paint the back because it was in great shape.
As you can see, painting the bricks blue to match the walls makes the house look bigger than it is.
