Faced with a neutral carpet option, Farrow and Ball fences will definitely set this living room up. The beauty of having such a dark wall is that both artwork and metal, such as brass floor lamps, sit confidently against it, knowing that it has the perfect backdrop to be illuminated by natural light. The interior is in the Blog Hornsby style and the kitchen uses rails on the long chimney chest and runs throughout the cabinetry. It works incredibly well with the blue-grey color used on the room’s main walls, with bohemian-inspired accessories to tie the look together.
Bringing the drama, this dining room uses rails along with the skirting and woodwork, which may be a bold choice but provides maximum impact. Keeping the roof white doesn’t make the house look closed off.

Wood paneling in this bedroom adds a traditional design element to a property and by using only the top two-thirds of the wall, it tricks the mind into thinking the ceiling is higher than it is. As shown on the award-winning interior blog, From Evizer With Love, these types of panels are easy to install.
How beautiful is this color combination of Farrow and Ball Rail, Mustard and Cobalt Blue? Cobalt blue might never be the first choice as an accent color for railings, but it certainly has the right kind of effect used in these silk cushions. The massive artwork pops out from the moody blue background, while the white skirt and cornrows are crisp and clean.

Rated 5 out of 5 by LiaW I really like the rich blue/black color I recently decorated my living room and with some inspiration from Farrow and Ball’s Instagram videos I decided to paint my woodwork rail, it was a little scary at first , but definitely the right choice , it really brought the room together. I painted the radiator, fireplace and made a border around the room on the railed baseboard. I’m really happy with how it turned out.
