But you can use Revere Pewter with 100% success in your home in 2022 and still make it work!

I do not recommend using Revere Pewter in a room with pink tiles or carpet. Color behaves in relation to the colors around it. Since red and green are complementary colors, if you combine a green tone with a pink floor, your walls will be too green and the floor will be too pink.

About 10 years ago, people associated sage green, dark blue and brown with Revere Pewter. Although the palettes used to be beautiful, now they look old.

Well, if you’re considering Revere Pewter for a room that doesn’t get a lot of light, you should keep in mind that this color doesn’t reflect crazy light (since it’s in the LRV).
So if you want to light up your room, this is not the best color to choose; you should choose a color with a high LRV (colors above 60 LRV).
Sherwin Williams Agreeable Gray LRV is higher than Revere Pewter (60), meaning it is brighter and generally reflects more light.
In short, Revere Pewter is slightly darker and warmer, while Agreeable Gray is lighter and cooler. If you hold the two samples side by side, there may not be much of a difference. However, on a large wall, these colors look very different! So choose carefully 🙂

Sherwin Williams Accessible Beige has a slightly higher LRV than Revere Pewter, reaching 58. So, overall, it’s always a slightly lighter color. It has a pink/grey underside.
The main difference between the two greiges is that Accessible Beige is a warmer gray than Revere Pewter.

Word! Laurel Bern shared an amazing demonstration of this strange but very real event. The two bedrooms shown below are painted in Revere Pewter, but they look very different because of the different angles (the bedroom on the right faces north).
My suggestion is to take a sample container, paint 2 coats on white poster board, and move the poster board around your room. Notice how the color looks in your room at different times
