Benjamin Moore Storm Cloud Gray – I appreciate and admire warm and neutral home decor, but I personally crave and use bold colors in our home. Today I’m sharing my current favorite interior paint colors and the color palette in our home.
The color capture is not good – it looks better in person. It’s a delicate color because it changes from blue at night and greener with lots of natural light. However, it is a very relaxing color and perfect for a bedroom or bathroom. It also makes a great accent color, and I’ve noticed similar colors being announced as next year’s color of the year.
Benjamin Moore Storm Cloud Gray
I’ve had night vision in our living room for years, and it’s the perfect navy. It’s sophisticated and rich and looks great paired with deep pinks and burgundies. This color will really work in any room, but make sure you have plenty of natural light unless you’re okay with a darker room.
Storm Cloud Gray
Swiss coffee is the perfect warm white and a great neutral paint color. It’s not harsh, but it’s also not cream and gives a neutral background. It welcomes and adds warmth to any room. I have it in our family room, stairs, and all over the hallway. This color will also work with trim and cabinetry and can be used with any accent color.
Despite the name, Storm Cloud Gray has a strong green tone. If you love exotic colors, this paint color is for you. It is a very sophisticated color and works well in dining rooms and bedrooms. I like to pair it with other shades and pops of greens like pinks and burnt reds.

I don’t like the name because it doesn’t really look like gray with yellow and green undertones. The saturated color will add timeless sophistication to any room.
Decorating with green has been a design favorite for centuries – the Victorians favored deeper green colors such as sage and Brunswick green for their interiors. In the 1950s, aqua and mint green were paired with baby rose to achieve the perfect American aesthetic for kitchens and Cadillacs. In the 1970s, the avocado became the height of fashion and enjoyed immense popularity (even in appliances).
Green is a color of balance and harmony. It gives us a clear sense of right from wrong because green contains a balance of both logical and emotional. Green is one of the visible colors in nature that reflects life, rest and peace. It is also a sign of growth, whether in physical things like plants or in our income and wealth.

Tips For Using Dark Moody Paint Colors

Here we are 30 years later and although sponges are not coming back (hopefully) sage green walls are definitely making a comeback.
Maybe not the same color wise as it was 30 years ago. Today’s trend is more of a sage green with some gray undertones.

If you want to play it safe, look for gray paint with green undertones.
Lately it’s green and also warmer earth colors. I wouldn’t say gray is completely gone, but it’s definitely taking a back seat to more earthy and warm tones.
I can’t say I feel bad about this new trend. I still love a nice neutral and light wall color, but it’s nice to see some color again.
And while we’re starting to see pops of color on our walls again, the colors we’re seeing are pretty neutral and should work well in most homes.
Going Gray: A Cautionary Tale
(And please, whatever you do, get a sample before you paint. I suggest all colors do but especially paint colors with hidden undertones.
You want to test the paint on your walls morning, noon and night. Lighting plays a big factor in how your paint color will look in your home and on your walls.
I recommend getting samples from Samplize because they are delivered to your door, but you can always get a sample in store of each color.)

Best Kitchen Cabinets Paint Colors For A Happier Kitchen
Oyster Bay is a mid-tone cool green gray paint with hints of blue undertones. Thanks to its earthy green hues, Oyster Bay will look beautiful in both warm and cool colors.
Evergreen Mist is Sherwin Williams’ Color of the Year for 2022. It’s a really nice gray green paint with a hint of blue.
Evergreen mist surprisingly also has some gray/yellow undertones to it and can pair well with warm and cool paint colors.
Another beautiful green gray paint color from Sherwin Williams is Acacia Haze. We’ll talk about Farrow and Ball Pigeon in a second, but Acacia Haze is Pigeon’s twin sister but from Sherwin Williams.
The Best Blue Gray Paint Colors
Acacia Haze is a light gray green paint color with warm undertones and pairs well with warm paint colors.
October Mist is Benjamin Moore’s color of the year for 2022. It is a soft sage green with earthy undertones.

Most Popular Cabinet Paint Colors
As the name suggests, Quiet Moments is a calming blue gray paint with warm green undertones.
It is a versatile color that complements most decorating styles. The color of this paint is highly dependent on the lighting in your room and can change colors throughout the day.
Revere pewter is one of the most popular paint colors today. It has been trending for quite some time.
It is a perfect color for those who want a modern/traditional look in their home. It goes well with most decorations and makes a great base if you’re stuck decorating your home.
Sherwin Williams Dorian Gray Sw 7017
This may be the best gray paint with a green tint. It is a warmer gray with earthy green undertones.
Breezeway is a medium green paint color with cool silver undertones. It is a versatile color that can be used on walls, trim and cabinetry.
Unfortunately, Samplize does not carry Behr samples. Right now, you have to go old school and pick up Behr paint samples at Home Depot.
That’s just Sage Grey. Greenish gray and depending on the time of day and your lighting it can look green or gray.
The Best Green Paints To Decorate With Now
This paint color intrigues me quite a bit and I am trying to find a place to use it in my home. I’m not sure why we don’t talk about this paint color more.
PS…I know Farrow and Ball is an expensive paint and you probably have to buy it online. But… you can match their paint color at Home Depot, Benjamin Moore or Sherwin Williams.
I ordered a sample of Farrow and Ball paint from Sampleize and took the sample to Home Depot to be colored.
It may not be a 100% match but it will be close enough. I usually have no problem matching the color to my paint, but Farrow and Ball’s formula is a bit more difficult.
