Carrara Marble Porcelain Tile Bathroom – Considering marble tiles for your bathroom? Find the best marble tile collection for any bathroom design, plus the pros and cons of marble tile!
It’s no secret that I’m a fan of marble bathrooms. In fact, I have used marble tiles in almost every bathroom remodel since starting this blog. There are many ideas for marble bathrooms.

Today, I would like to introduce a combination of marble tiles that have attracted attention. It’s the marble bathroom floors and shower tiles that we think make the space beautiful.

Before I introduce my favorite marble tiles, I will say a few words about the use of marble tiles in the bathroom. We received many of these questions after sharing our master bathroom remodel.
Is it maintenance free? No but we have had marble bathrooms, marble countertops and marble shower walls for years and we wouldn’t change a thing, I love the color, streak, texture and movement of real marble.
Natural stone tiles can be easier to clean than ceramic or porcelain tiles, so be careful when installing marble tiles. But with proper installation, marble tiles will remain beautiful for many years.
Whether you prefer a traditional style or a more modern bathroom, natural stone is a wonderful and durable material for your interior. In fact, as evidenced by the fact that the first bathroom project when I started this blog almost ten years ago, still one of the most popular bathroom design posts on Pinterest, is natural stone, we Believe that its design life is very long. No wonder it is always a favorite interior design.

Also, a quick wipe of water can help, especially around bathrooms and plants where water can splash or sit, as it can etch marble. You’ll also want to avoid harsh chemicals, but other than that, cleaning a marble bathroom is like cleaning any other bathroom.
Marble is a smooth surface, so sealing is necessary without finishing (polishing, polishing).
In general, I prefer polished marble over polished marble with a matte finish. So it tends to cut less. However, it can stain more easily (because natural stones have more open pores), so it needs to be sealed.
However, it seems that there are many other options for marble tiles with a polished finish, so if you like patterns on polished marble, we recommend that you do not limit yourself.

Actually, I used 6×12 polished marble subway tiles for the walls and 4×16 polished marble for the floor, but I prefer to use polished pencil edges and marble tiles. This saved us a lot of money. For some reason I found a pencil edge polisher and range for about 1/10 the price of a pencil edge polisher and range. An easy decision!
Now for the fun part! I think there are three easy ways to combine marble tiles in bathroom design.
The first is to combine white tiles with marble tiles. White marble bathrooms are beautiful, but classic white subway tiles or elegant white handmade tiles that match a Carrara marble floor or shower can provide a more sophisticated nod to an all-marble bathroom. (Mostly cheap).
I love how the white walls and hexagonal marble floor tiles combine in Jack and Jill’s daughter’s bath to create a simple backdrop with an elegant touch.

Another good option is to simply mix different sizes and shapes of marble tiles. Rectangle, square, circle, hexagon… are beautiful and simple marble tile patterns.
I love the combination of the marble subway tile kitchen backsplash and Carrara marble countertops, so I decided to install two different rectangular marble tiles for the master bathroom walls and floor.
Although I had enough grip on the shower floor, I went with the third option there. The combination of all shapes and sizes of this carra marble tile makes it feel simple and elegant.
Some of my current favorite mixed marble combinations (#5 is the one used in the master bath):

What if your venue needs a little more pizzazz? I have recently been drawn to various beautiful geometric marble tile mosaics.
We used this amazing gray marble mosaic for our new project floor. The pattern is elegant and eye-catching, neither loud nor trendy. Please excuse the progress shooting…I can’t wait to finish the project with you!
These geometric tiles make great flooring because they prevent ground lines from smoothing the floor, especially when it rains, but they also make the shower wall look stunning and dramatic, you can use it as an accent behind the vanity. Can also be used as a wall tile. Many beautiful options. !
Once again, here is a marble tile collection that we think looks great in any bathroom design.
