HDPE plastics require annealing for any painting. How do you know if a plastic is HDPE? Check the label, ask the manufacturer, or do an acetone test (wet a small area in an inconspicuous area and if the plastic melts – if it’s sticky, cloudy, etc., it’s not HDPE and can be painted directly. )
Since the water transfer image is transparent, choose a paint color to complete the image. Note that you can create your own variations by mixing different One Hit Wonder colors. We recommend keeping lights with lights. Bright colors and bright colors work best on light surfaces.
Aerosol: Shake well for 1-2 minutes. Release the pouring tube and spray the paper for 1-2 seconds to release the energy. Apply the paint approximately 8 inches from the surface and apply a light, even coat 2 inches. After painting, hold the aerosol upside down and shake until a clear gas appears. This also works for standard clear coat aerosols.
Spray gun: mix the paint thoroughly. Clean the paint from the spray gun with a professional paint cleaner. Set gun pressure to 22 psi, pull trigger halfway. Apply one coat of One Hit Wonder using a 1.3 or 1.4 tip. If the area is not completely covered, apply a second coat after 5-10 minutes or when the first coat is dry to the touch.
