I used 1 tablespoon of Borax, added Dawn, added water, dissolved and put in a spray bottle.

I sprayed it on my pillow and once it was absorbed I pulled out my trusty AutoRite and got to work!

AutoRite comes with a few different tools, so I used a fabric steamer as well as a seat cleaning brush and crease tool. The fabric steamer removed all the germs, the scrub tool removed the stains, and the crease tool helped clean between the woven parts of the chair (and killed tons of crap crawls living inside the chair! EW !).

I scrubbed all the cushions thoroughly with a nylon scrubber, went through them again with a fabric steamer, then closed them and put them in the sun for 24 hours to dry. Tomorrow…

Press the moisture out of the pillow with your hands and place the pillow upright against a sunny wall to dry completely.

How To Clean Outdoor Cushions

Attach a garden hose to the pressure washer and turn the water on high. Before turning on the pressure washer, pull the trigger on the spray gun to make sure water is flowing throughout the machine. When the spray flows freely from the hose to the tip of the gun, you are ready to turn on the pressure washer.

Attach the cleaning/soap spray nozzle to the pressure washer hose and spray each outdoor cushion thoroughly. Don’t spray the pillow fabric too close – the pressure washer can damage the surface of the fabric if too close. Don’t forget to wash the sides of the pillow too!

For stubborn stains, use a stiff brush to thoroughly work the cleaning solution into the pillow fibers. After applying the solution, brush all problem areas Let the solution sit for 3-5 minutes and change the spray tip to wash the spray tip with soap.

Now that you have your pads, use the tip of the sprayer to thoroughly rinse the cleaning solution from each pad. Move the spray tip from one end of the pillow to the other Watch dirt and stains wash off your clothes before your eyes! Be sure to keep your spray tip about 1-1/2 feet away from your pillow to avoid damaging them.
