Before I start anything, I have to clean the cabinet. Because they are raw, especially the edges are very rough. After everything was fine, I wiped the dust off with a dry cloth, then wiped it again with a damp cloth and let it dry. I also removed the door and hardware. After the cabinet is cleared, I can become the prime minister. I originally chose an oil-based spray because I was also painting the inside of the cabinet, which is a gloss laminate. I want to make sure the paint stays on without a problem.

After the primer dried and cured a bit, I got out the paint sprayer and sprayed IKEA white paint according to the manufacturer’s instructions. I prefer to use a roller or brush versus paint sprayer for cabinets and furniture because it gives a professional finish that can’t be duplicated! Plus, it makes the process so much easier, how quickly everything gets painted!
