James Hardie Paint Color Match Sherwin Williams – I don’t know about you, but I absolutely love weekend house stockings! The strange house does not look through the stocking window. I’m talking about driving through beautiful parts of town and looking at beautiful home exteriors. I wasn’t sure I’d ever have the luck to build my own house, but one day on a weekend drive, tons of exterior house design and color ideas ran through my head. As you can see, my style is a bit traditional, but I also like to bring unexpected and updated variations. Today I’m teaming up with James Hardie to share some of my favorite exterior design and color ideas with you, an online tool that lets you put some of those ideas in your head and show them how they’ll look on your home. .
I’m sure most of you have heard of James Hardie® fiber cement products, but otherwise, they are designed to withstand moisture, rot, and insect damage (now A. Woodpec). Damage to my wood siding is not a possibility with this material). Because I care about how your home looks as much as product durability, I love the wide variety of beautiful, long-lasting color options enhanced with ColorPlus® paint coating technology. Siding keeps your home looking its best without excessive maintenance. It has lasted a long time (I used it in a house my parents built 20 years ago) and is definitely a product to consider if you are building a new house in the future or want one on your own.

So, next time (if you’re lucky!) I’m going to share 6 exterior home design and color ideas to help you with a new build or exterior home remodel.
Best White Farmhouse Exterior Paint Colors And How To Use Them
This gray house has all the good vibes. I love the design and classic color combination of gray (James Hardy’s light mist) and white. But what I really like is the added tweak of using two different profiles. The first story has HardiePlank® lap siding and the second story has HardieShingle® siding.
A combination of two different siding styles and textures provides more visual interest than using a single profile as a whole. The triangular trim on the outer peaks is a nice detail!
There are many houses that have two or three different siding colors, but to be honest, I don’t like the look of a house with a completely different color scheme. But with two different shades of siding in the same color family (I’d stick to two, never use more than three!), it can be just as beautiful, as seen in this beautiful mountain home.
Monterey Taupe’s HardiePlank lap siding and HardieShingle siding are used on most home exteriors, but Triangle Peak HardiePanel® vertical siding and HardieTrim® batten boards use a darker brown (chestnut brown). It’s hard to tell what color the door is from the picture, but using the same chestnut brown color for the door would be a great way to tie them all together!
Color Plus Hardie Plank
One of my local dream homes (it’s for sale and out of price range because I’d move my family across town for this beauty!) The combination of siding and stone is nothing short of flashy. ! Stones can be added to the exterior walls of your home or used as small accents like this beautiful townhouse.
They used hardiplank siding in Boothbay Blue, then added stone to the front columns and chimneys. Doesn’t that help a lot to be hot outside?! Sailcloth Hardiplank brick can be used as well as red brick foundations, porches, and steps in this attractive home with lap siding.
I love everything painted dark gray (which is why I chose this color for the kitchen island!). That’s why I’m crazy about the dark gray and white exterior of this house.
One subtle thing they did to make the look more interesting was to extend the color of the trim over a large portion of the front of the house. Hardiplank wrap siding in Iron Gray was used for most of the exterior, but in addition to the usual Artic White HardieTrim® on the ends and windows, we used HardiePanel vertical siding and HardieTrim batten boards in the same Arctic White color. It leads through a large area of peaks on the second floor of the house and through the front door to the front door.

I don’t like having two completely unrelated colors on the front of my house, but I totally agree with the idea of adding a pop of color to something inconspicuous, like the long porch ceiling.
You don’t like it! Woodland cream hardiplank wrap siding on the exterior is perfect for this type of color play as it pairs well with other color schemes like greens, blues, and reds.
I’ve only recently started noticing homes with two different trim colors (mostly black and white), but I’m seeing them more and more, so I think it’s a design trend that’s becoming a favorite among homeowners. It’s the perfect thing you’ll want to incorporate into your future home! This beautiful home features arctic white hardy trim paired with black windows and gutters. I think the contrast between the two is very striking!
If you’re going to use a black and white combination like this, the key is to use a neutral color for the rest of the house, like tan or brown, like hardiplank over khaki brown. This house is gray or white.
Our Review Of Anonymous By Sherwin Williams
The best way to get an idea of what a particular exterior color combination will look like is to use a visualization tool. James Hardy has some great tools to discover. The first step is to choose a base color. No wonder choosing one in gray or blue:
James Hardie siding and trim products are available so you can paint a custom color of your choice, but honestly, with the beautiful color options this product offers, I’d choose one of them. ColorPlus® technology provides a longer-lasting finish than standard paint jobs, so you don’t have to repaint down the road.
After choosing the main exterior color in the visualizer, choose an image of a house style that best matches your color palette (I chose farmhouse because it’s the style of my dreams!) and go to Selection. Additional options such as trim and accent colors, roof color, windows, doors and shutters:
It’s fun to play and see what different color combinations look like! Once done, it will tell you the color personality based on your selection. “You surround yourself with calm, soothing tones. You’re drawn to a laid-back yet classic style.” Yes, you can save your finished palette and share it with family and friends!
