Step 2: Apply a final coat with a special faux finish sponge roller. A specialized faux finish sponge roller should be washed with hot water before use. Remove excess water by squeezing the cylinder. Start the application in one corner and apply from top to bottom. Use slightly overlapping strokes until the paint spreads to an even consistency. Continue with a final downward brush from top to bottom across the entire area. Use the small sponge insert to dab any area around the edges.
TIP: For a more irregular or random pattern, follow the instructions above and apply paint in a small V pattern until the wall is covered.
BASHING (TRIM WORK): Apply evenly in one direction (horizontal or vertical) with a high quality nylon / polyester brush. Do not feather the end of the brush; leave a wet edge so it can blend with the next brush for an even finish. For full coverage, apply two or more coats, allowing two hours to dry between coats.
