Although there are half a dozen more deep blues I can play off the top of my head, these are just a few of my FAVORITES.
Whether you want to go to a farmhouse or the beach, there’s nothing like a fresh coat of modern paint for your front door! Teal is a combination of blue and green – and it’s not always a combination. Some teas lean more towards blue, while others lean more towards green.
Today’s popular pumpkins also have a gray undertone, making them deeper rather than “sun-glo.”
And of course the blackest of blacks is Benjamin Moore Yorktown Green. Not for the faint of heart, Yorktowne Green is a stylish blend that is flexible and easy to live with. It can look great in a wooded environment with lots of cedars.

The front door above is a Sherwin Williams Night Owl. Another beauty is Benjamin Moore Mohegan Sage or even Sherwin Williams Rockbottom for a strong and attractive look.
But I found that the siding color (Benjamin Moore’s Dragon’s Breath) would be good for a little chart, and it also satisfied the owner’s desire for something FINISHED!

Although black is common in the fashion world, it’s not a “safe thing” at the door. Some houses look very scary with black doors – especially if there is not enough natural light around them.
Black isn’t always a good color for homes with river stone or porch details or heavily shaded front doors.
Gray and charcoal are popular with homeowners today, and with their low contrast, they suit many homes.

Yellow and gold can look warm and inviting in a home. Remember that yellow reflects more light than other colors, so when choosing a yellow, make sure it’s the right size for your home and your personal style (in other words, be careful when choosing “intensity”).

This classic is still going strong, especially for light and white outdoor plans, as well as dark gray and black.
Too much red. From light to dark, it works well with modern and traditional styles and even red brick homes – but do your best to match the tones. Dark red adds a classic touch and goes well with black, grey, green or dark red.
If you have composite exterior stone, it can tell you what color the materials should be. For example, if the stone is black, consider black or black with brass hardware. Coordinating knobs, house numbers, mailboxes and light fixtures with the same metallic finish.
