Tips & Tricks For How To Paint Kitchen Cabinets

In this darker room, the brown color of Anew Gray becomes more expressive, creating an interesting atmosphere. The tone-on-tone look on the window frames and crown also makes the beige stand out, since there’s no white to offset it.

While I love this rich gray in our dining room, it is too dark for our living room without natural light. I always look for beige or gray paint colors because they are the perfect color for Gold – beige tones add warmth while cool gray tones soften the color. It seems boring and muddy. Anew Gray is a medium gray that is deep and rich without being too dark, which is what I look for when choosing a color for my living room. Here’s a picture of it in space – a good example of how Anew Gray varies depending on the light it receives:

If you look carefully at the paint area closest to the floor, you will see some blue colors – because this is the area that gets the best light from the window in front of the fireplace, and it has a cold light because it is a north window say, on the walls and most of the rest of the room it looks like a real gray. You can also see that in more shaded areas like the right side of my black room, the color looks deeper and richer.

If you look at the same sky one day, you will see that the color of the surface is still different from the bottom, but the overall color is not gray because there is less natural light reaching the northern part of the sky today. :

Apart from the blue colors you see in the small area of our room, with direct exposure to northern lights (which happens with any gray), I have not seen other shades of Anew Gray under normal conditions. Light – it’s not good either. – Light, not even dark dark neutral.

I painted Anew Gray over a plain Sherwin Williams’ Home Interior Latex Dura paint. I use flat or matte (closer to flat gloss but stronger) on all the walls in our house because it hides wall imperfections better than high gloss paint and is easy to touch up. Paint shops often recommend egg whites on walls, because the higher sheen makes the walls easier to clean from fingerprints, dust, etc. But I’ve found that when you rub something on the eggshell wall, it always reflects light from the area you’re scrubbing, making it clear that you’re cleaning the area.
