I started with SW Pearly White because I was just painting our dining room walls and thought it was an “all-purpose” white.
It was cold white, but I could feel it had enough yellow to warm it up a bit.
Against the blackout window, it looks white and fresh but warm with ivory club chairs and a wooden coffee table.

Well, SW Eider white is a cool white “go” on the beach of blue and green and blends perfectly with pink and purple.
I might have to try it somewhere in our house to really get a feel for it – LOL!
SW Snowbound is the color we use for our kitchen/office cabinets, decks, cabinets and cabinet walls.
….. It is the same color as Eider White (lighter). It goes great with the “cooler” beach colors in our house.

Last year we painted the kitchen cabinets and cut SW Alabaster and I love it. But it works a little “yellow” or “green” on me, but only during the hottest and brightest sun of the day.

Top 10 Best White Paint Colors Of 2023 And How To Choose
SW Greek villas have been a popular white color trend for many years. It is a timeless white with a slightly “stronger” yellow and lighter white.
I plan to use it in our southwest facing dining room, but it’s a bit yellow in this room. So I chose SW Pearly White (for this room).
But I think it would be a good color for our northeast facing bedroom as it would be more grey. It’s a stunning color.
I chose SW Origami White 259-c3 because it is a color between two other popular colors on the same canvas (SW Zurich White 259-c2 and Aesthetic White 259-c4).

SW Pure White is another popular white from Sherwin-Williams. It’s a non-drying white.
I think this is the most obvious paint color for “white rust” when I did my research.
It’s also amazing as a soft wall color and looks great with black or gold.
It is a good choice if you prefer a “lighter” color palette and less contrast to darker colors.

I find it also works well to show off or highlight white accents, whether on decorative pieces, accents or quilts.
And while the bar stools and ceiling lights are black, the look of the cabinetry is still “softer”, giving it a cozier feel.
It is also a timeless Sherwin-Williams white and can be used in both traditional and modern decor styles.
I can’t find the source of the wall color (ahem – sorry) but you can see it goes perfectly with the red in the wooden beams and wooden floors.

We wanted a white brick house from the first three houses and ended up falling! Over the past few weeks we’ve been experimenting with different colors of white and reaching out to my friends on IG [here] to find the perfect color (for us!). We want a creamy and warm white that feels natural, as opposed to a cold or very bright white. People, painting white is very difficult! We walked around the house looking at the sample forevvvverrrrr but finally decided! Here are 5 white exterior colors that we test while observing each color and making the final choice for our home!
Sherwin Williams Incredible White: A Complete Color Review
Sherwin Williams Alabaster is my favorite white for interiors because it is the most neutral white with some warm undertones. It’s not too yellow, it’s not too cold… It’s bright white with an LRV (Reflectance Value) of 82, so it’s sure to jump into space. I can’t control it enough to bring light indoors, but notice it’s white Very bright outside with lots of light.
White Oyster is darker in scale than Alabaster, but just cream. It has a lower LRV than Alabaster and is therefore less legible than Tan. We noticed green/gray ends in some lights and really liked the color saturation. Want to paint warm white Auster is a good choice!
Natural Choice is another warm white color with a reflectance value of 73, so the light resembles oysters. It’s not as white as Alabaster, so if you’re looking for a deep white that isn’t pale, this is a good choice! We found that the undertones of the natural variant remained neutral with a light brown or slightly orange undertone to the white and were not too cold or too green/grey in daylight. This color feels like the white found in nature rather than white or cold.
Shoji White was my first favorite because it was a little pink, almost like a white inner shell. It’s a light creme with an LRV of 74, although it surprisingly has an alabaster-like glow to it. I want to use it indoors and then use a nice pink and peach color to keep it that color. Strong tea. Really like sea shells, as my neighbors say!
Best Sherwin Williams White Paint Colors
In our opinion, White Duck is like a perfect middle ground between Alabaster and Shoji. It has a reflective value of 73.5, so it’s definitely not as bright as Alabaster. It also comes in cream like Shoji, but has a more neutral tone than the pinkish Shoji. If I want a bright white creme, but not too bright, not too pale or hot, this is a great color!
We ended up going with .Natural Choices (with Dorian Gray for decor/garage)! It is still the truest color in our light at different times of the day, not too bright or too yellow and just like the white you see naturally!
