Free Diy Cabin Plans
All materials are available from your local hardware stores. Sizes are standard immediately available sizes. We do not use special materials that are difficult to obtain. Easy pre-fabrication and installation. At least for field work, most of the work can be prefabricated in the factory. Only concrete footings should be cast in place. The rest of the materials can be pre-fabricated and delivered to the site pre-fabricated and pre-prepared. All metal frames can be pre-welded at the factory and matched to the rear of the truck.
We designed this house to save time, effort and cost. Site placement can be done by one team of workers while another team pre-fabricates the material in the factory, saving time. This way you don’t have to wait until your foundation is complete to start preparing the walls and floors. Manufacturing in a factory has many advantages such as quality and precision control. Minimal waste. And you can work in any weather conditions. Your house can be built by 2 separate teams of workers working at the same time, saving time and cost.
All our roofs are pitched to shed rain, snow and leaves. We use roof overhangs to prevent splashing rain/snow and the summer sun from heating the house.
All ceilings, walls and floors can be insulated with 2″ to 6″ thick insulation strips, spray foam insulation and bubble insulation sheets. Electric or wood stoves, chimneys, washers can be placed inside. The interior is quite spacious.
X 20′ Invermere
We designed this home to maximize the use of your land. You get the whole loft, the whole house under one roof. Every part of the house has an outside view. The construction area is very high and effective against the materials used.
It has a generous covered terrace that can be used as a dining, sitting and exercise area. This is a very versatile use of space. Tall windows are designed to let natural light into the home. Living room, kitchen, toilets, dining room are on the same level. The dormitory is upstairs. Solar panels can be mounted on the roof.
Total interior space (with walls, level 1 + level 2) = 192 + 96 = 288 square feet.
Metal framing, dry floor and wall construction (cement board, wood board, glass, plywood, etc.), metal siding or roofing, concrete footings, metal studs, insulating bars with insulating sheets or sprayed insulating foam. You can get all the materials from your local hardware stores.
X16 Gable Shop Plan
After purchasing a ready-made plan (for small houses only) and you need to modify the ready-made plan:
Small modification to the final design (the width (side of the gable) remains the same, the length is modified, i.e. the shape of the building remains, it becomes larger or smaller.):
A set of CAD drawings converted to standard 2D drawings (ie plans x 2, elevations x 4 and sections x 2) is $600. There are no 3D views.
