2003 Harley-Davidson 100th Anniversary Motorcycle Restoration Vinyl Decals This is a complete set of vinyl decals for complete motorcycle restoration. These full vinyl stripes only fit the Dyna Wide Glide, FXDWG model.
These are replicas of the original stripes, with all the original details printed and precisely cut to the original shape. The lines are shaped for ease of application and don’t have to bend as much as if they were cut straight. We use Oracle high quality automotive grade vinyl film for our Harley-Davidson 100th Anniversary celebrations.
The package will include a few bulk strips of vinyl film for testing and detailed application instructions.
We respect copyright laws and produce stickers with slightly altered original lyrics. Note that these changes are subtle and the decals are as originally made.

Below are general instructions for applying stickers and decals to motorcycles, their parts, and other vehicles. This instruction also covers the application of printed vinyl decals and die cut decals.
Stickers should always be stored in a cool, dry place away from sunlight. Before application, the films must be adapted to the required humidity and temperature conditions: an indoor climate with a relative humidity of 40% to 50% and +18°C to +22°C (+65°F to +72°F) . ideal If the above conditions change radically, there may be changes in the size of the protective paper. One consequence is the insufficient flatness of the self-adhesive material and the dimensional deviation of the parts. All box-rolled stickers must be left on a flat surface for at least 24 hours before application.
The application process should be carried out in an area or room subject to dust, wind and direct sunlight. The ambient temperature must be +18°C (65°F) or higher to achieve the required bond strength. Any dust trapped under the decals will create small visible air bubbles that will become more visible after the decals are coated with a clear coat.
Thoroughly clean the surface of the vehicle before applying vinyl decals. The vehicle should normally be cleaned with conventional cleaning products. The surfaces to be joined must always be cleaned with isopropyl alcohol IPA (isopropanol). This will more effectively remove all traces of cleaning agents, waxes and residues from the painted areas. Dry the surfaces thoroughly and use a hot air blower to remove any remaining moisture.

Solvent residue from improper cleaning or recent painting can cause gas bubbles to form between the film and the substrate. Make sure the decals only stick to hard and completely dry finishes. As a general rule, allow a drying period of at least three weeks.
In general, vinyl decals will be processed like standard polymeric PVC films for automotive wrapping. If you are unsure of your experience with the correct application of decals, visit your local window tint store for installation assistance.
The application should be carried out at the room temperature mentioned above. A significant change in temperature should be avoided during the first 24 hours after insemination. However, if the temperature drops, we recommend treating the adhesives with hot air from a heat gun.
Place the stickers film side down on a flat surface. Pull back enough silicone paper to begin assembly. Always remove the silicone paper from the film, never the other way around.

Attach the film section to the vehicle and secure it with tape or film scraps.
Depending on the size of the cut to be joined, the silicone paper can be removed completely before joining or gradually during the joining process.
When using application paper or film (some of our decals may have an application film or paper already applied), slowly peel the film away at a 180° angle.
Different bottom profiles are used in vehicle manufacturing. Always follow the profile when applying movies to such backgrounds. Never simply place the film and press under tension.

We strongly recommend covering our stickers with a clear coat. A few pieces of bulk vinyl film are included in the package for testing purposes. Always do a bond test and cover the film with your preferred clear coat to ensure no harmful chemical reactions occur.
The motorcycle or its part with freshly applied adhesives must be kept at the bonding temperature for at least 24 hours. After about 3 days, the film has reached its optimal final adhesion strength and the vehicle or part of it can be coated with clear lacquer.
These processing instructions are based on our knowledge and experience. They do not contain explanations of all the aspects to be taken into account during the binding of the film. The specialized knowledge and skills of window tint technicians or bonding specialists can be utilized. No guarantee of specific properties can be derived from this information.
