Popular Gray Paint Benjamin Moore – Happy Monday! This is a post I want to share for a while because I got a lot of questions from you about my paint colors. So you go! These are my favorite gray paints that I use all over the house on walls and furniture. These are all Benjamin Moore shades and they are my favorite paints.
This is the color I use the most in my home. It is a shade of gray – in some light it looks more gray and in others it looks light brown. This is one of the colors of the paint to show in the space where you plan to use it.
Popular Gray Paint Benjamin Moore
The entire main living area of my home is painted in Revere Pewter – living room, dining room, kitchen, upstairs walls and hallway. This is a very good neutral gray.
No Fail Neutral Paint Colors From Benjamin Moore
There is a wall in my kitchen that I do not like Revere Pewter. For this reason, I do not share this wall photo often. You can see the difference in this photo as the paint color tends to be light brown.
Edgecomb Gray is a lighter shade next to Revere Pewter on the Benjamin Moore color chart. It is a lighter shade of Revere Pewter. I used this color on patterned walls in my dining room.
The walls were painted Edgecomb Gray, and then I used Revere Pewter to paint in the damask stencil – giving the walls a tonal pattern effect. I also used Edgecomb Gray to paint the outside of the kitchen cabinets above and the corner cabinets. The kitchen cabinets above are painted with Benjamin Moore Advance Paint.
The Gray Owl has a blue / green tone but is still very neutral. This is what I used in our master bedroom and we also used it for the color of the upper walls and ceiling in our lower level family room.
The 9 Best Benjamin Moore Paint Colors
It is very light and neutral, good if you want to use something other than white or white for your walls. I saw people light a 50% gray owl at a paint store to make it lighter.
This gray color is what we use in our low level family room decor. It is a medium gray tone. We do not want it to be too dark in the family room because it is downstairs and there is not much natural light. However, our flooring is lighter in this space, so we want the wall color to contrast with it. Chelsea Gray deserves the bill! The space is far from over, but this is a gray owl view on the wall with a chelsea gray canvas. (As you can see – it’s hard to get good photos in a low level room with canned lights. But – hopefully it will give you an idea of the color combination)
It is a beautiful dark gray. This is what I use in my powder room and I use it in my office! I would describe it as soft black or charcoal.
I love Kendall Charcoal but have not used it in our home yet. But I use this charcoal to write letters on most of my signs. It is a beautiful charcoal. I have not been to my office painting yet, but if I see the Nightfall shades too dark I would probably use Kendall Charcoal there. Since I have not used Kendall Charcoal yet, this is the room that Dear Lily used.

This is the color I used on her kitchen cabinets below. Real black for the cabinets, I painted the metal from the beginning, but the lights in our kitchen gave them a green color. Not the look I was for! So I ended up using black in Benjamin Moore Advance paint.

Benjamin Moore November Rain is a beautiful gray paint that is warm and plays well with wood tones. We had a lot of original wood decor in our old artisan bungalows in the 1920s, which was our first home, and the November rains were really nice with warm cherry wood. Funny fact – our first apartment was only 750 sq.ft. ft. And lived there for 4.5 years with our two great danes and a baby!

Benjamin Moore Classic Gray is another winner in my book. We have it at the entrance to our current home and will be painting the second floor as well! This is a gray you can not go wrong. It’s not too blue or too creamy!
We used Benjamin Moore’s Balboa Mist in the living room and adjoining dining room, as the rooms were very sunny, we needed something a little more gray to keep it from washing out too much. This is another of my favorites and we’re likely to paint our master bedroom the same season. This cold! It goes well with Benjamin Moore’s Simply White, which is found on all of our white decor (which I painted – read more here: The Ultimate Guide to Painting Wood Without It) Sanding).
And then we have the best and warmest deep gray. If you want a warm and deep gray for your room and add story and depth – paint Chelsea Gray! We used it in the kitchen of our old apartment and the kitchen island of our current home. It warms up well with brown, gray and wood and it is classic!
