Behr Paint Colors Sherwin Williams – I love colorful walls as much as the next girl, but sometimes you just want true gray. Not brown, not green, not purple. Just beautiful, soft

. It can be a little hard to find a 100% pure gray color (even some of the ones below have hints of other colors I’ll describe), but it’s pretty close.

You might even see this living room! This is actually from our first house (the Brooklyn house) before our tenants moved in. I will say of all the paint colors I will go over in this post, SW Lattice is the cleanest gray I have found so far. In fact, after seeing it in our house, my sister used this color in her house. Boss Brian asked us for gray paint color recommendations and finally chose Lattice (and I loved it). I highly recommend this gray paint color for any space. It’s light enough to work well in rooms that don’t get much light (like the basement) but looks great in natural light (like the living room here). Grids are a neutral background and look great with bright accents or more natural embellishments. It works in many ways; You really can’t go wrong with this color.

How To Pick Paint Colors

Mindful Gray is another favorite. It looks very dark compared to the other gray paint colors in the chart above, but I promise it’s not too heavy or dark. I’ve used it many times: in my parent’s powder room and on our little sewing table, coffee bar that has now become our pantry. I also plan to paint the brick chimney stack in the master bedroom this color! Mindful Gray first came into my life when I saw it used in an episode of Fixer Upper. This is one of those colors that you have to do a few times to see what the color is. It can have a nice chameleon-like effect in different lighting. To me it has less green noise. However, I wouldn’t look at it and think “green”. I would definitely classify it as gray. I think SW Mindful Gray looks good with a room with lots of pieces. Jamie from Mindfully Gray (I think her blog could be named after this color!) used it to great effect in the dining room, kitchen and living room. Look how beautiful the shade of the wood is!

Love the mindful gray tone but looking for something lighter? Yes, my friend, be sure to check out SW Repose Grey. This is the next color in the line of color swatches (almost the same shade, lighter color). You can see in this pretty girl’s room that the neutral gray color goes well with blue and pink. I like to recommend gray colors like this to friends, family, and clients who have just moved into a new place and are painting the whole house, but aren’t sure if every room will work. That way, if they plan to have a baby in the future, they can easily add a pop of color to create a new baby room. We used this color in one of our upside down houses (see photos in living room and dining room) and it looks dreamy with dark wood.

Maybe I didn’t choose this paint color to include in this post mainly because I like the name. only joking. feels. The SW front porch is Lattice’s light cousin (and Silverpointe’s dark cousin which I’ll talk about later) and a surprising shade of gray. There is just a slight hint of a bluish/purple undertone, but I would 100% call it a beautiful true gray color. In addition, the front porch also fits well with the white trim. I can’t find many pictures of rooms with accents of this color (maybe new from the Sherwin Williams paint line?). I haven’t tried this before in any project but so in the drawing library, of course!

I originally found this paint color on an Instagram post of Woodward’s new blog. He posted a picture above and I immediately took a picture so I could refer to the color. The color of this gray color seems calm and relaxing to me. I can only imagine waking up to this color in the morning. In the swatch it looks like there are small drops of purple fabric, but in the photo room you don’t see it – it’s pure gray. I’m really waiting for someone to request a gray color so I can get this swatch out. Maybe the name influenced me (they tend to) but I think it’s good in a beach house too. It reminds me a bit of the beach in the gray winter months.

What To Expect For Colours Of The Year 2023!

This silver gray paint color is featured as the Sherwin Williams Color of the Month for December 2016. As I said, it’s a lighter version of Front Porch and Lattice so you’ll find the same color as these two paint colors. From all the pictures I’ve seen of this paint color, I think the wall color will look great with anything you put it on. For example, if the wall color has a blue undertone, it will appear bluer. If used with lavender curtains, it will appear more purple in tone. Chameleons other than paint colors, of course. SW Silverpointe is also the lightest gray color featured here, so keep in mind townhouses, basements, and basements that don’t get much natural light.

I hope this gray color guide is helpful for you! I always recommend getting home paint samples before making a firm decision. Test the paint on the wall in all different types of light (morning light, afternoon sunlight, night lights and fluorescent lights) to make sure you like it before you commit to a gallon.

Thanks for stopping by! I’m Elizabeth – a DIY developer and blogger in Raleigh, NC. Click the image above to read more! I’m a fan of gray wall color. It’s very neutral and adds a clean, modern feel to almost any space. However, I have learned that not all shades of gray are created equal. We painted most of the Brooklyn house a cool gray when we first moved in (Sherwin Williams knit, appropriate). Despite the beautiful color, it definitely feels cold and sterile to me. This sent me searching for the perfect greige paint color that isn’t too cool but not in the “beaver beige” category. Here are my favorites so far. 🙂

Best Blue Green Paint Colors In Action (by Brand)

It’s the darkest color in this space, but I think it would look amazing in a large space that could wear dark colors. This paint color is very popular on Pinterest, and it’s easy to see why! I think this color looks great paired with white and espresso trim. I would be careful not to go too dark on the furniture when using this color, otherwise the room will look heavy.

I think this is my favorite so far! It is bright, which is great as we are used to dealing with small rooms. It’s a nice warm color, but I think different types of light throughout the day would be really interesting with this color.

Well, maybe I lied. This might be my favorite. And if Shea McGee says it’s his favorite color gray, it must be good. 🙂 A little cool, but very good. I feel like this paint color can be stunning and can look gray or beige depending on what you put it on.

It’s pretty close to the two above, but looks more purple than gray to me. This would be perfect if you are looking for a light, light beige shade. Beautiful color and will look amazing in a traditional home or new construction
