Contour Powder With Grey Undertone

Contour Powder With Grey Undertone – Hello dear! Looks like I haven’t posted in a while. Today I want to share a little first impression and mini review of the Australis AC ON TOUR Contour and Highlight Kit! If you live in Australia, you know how difficult (and difficult) it is to get hold of this product. When it first came out a few months ago, it sold out everywhere, until luckily I got my hands on it a few weeks ago… and I’m glad I did! I’ve been trying it for a while now and I can safely say I’m a huge fan! I can’t really do a full review because I haven’t used it in a while, but I can definitely tell you how I feel about this palette and a few tips that I found useful while using it.

From the look of the palette, you can immediately tell that it is similar to the Anastasia Beverly Hills Contour Kit. I haven’t tried it so I can’t compare the two, but I think the Australis contour kit is amazing drugstore quality.

The palette contains six different shades. These shades have no names; But instead, it matters, which can make color interpretation difficult. I would describe the first highlight shade as a pink/cream toned highlight that is very matte. I don’t reach for this shade too much as I feel it can look a bit gray on my skin tone – so this might be the perfect shade for those who are really fair. In the second shade, there is an emphasis on the yellow tone (the resemblance to Ben Nai banana powder is unusual). I use this shade a lot to set my under eye concealer and it does a great job of cleansing and brightening that area. The final highlight shade is a warm toned beige with a slight shimmer that is almost frosty.

Gray Contour Powder

Now let’s move on to the three contour shades, which are my absolute favorite part of the entire palette! The first contour shade is a warm toned brown – I think it’s more for bronzing the skin than contouring. The second contour shade, the cool-toned chocolate brown, is definitely my favorite contour shade of the three. I always reach for this shade more than others and I think it looks good on many skin tones. The third contour shade is probably my least favorite – a very warm toned brown shade but with lots of red undertones – very earthy.

The contour shadows are very pigmented. Sometimes I think it’s a little too pigmented for its own good (if that makes sense). You have to be very careful with these shadows, making sure you only pick up the tiniest amount and dust off the excess. It’s always better to build up the contour slowly than to just slap on a whole bunch of color that can end up looking really muddy and dirty.

I think this palette is definitely worth buying. Australis even included a little guide on the back of the palette, which will be really helpful for those new to contouring and highlighting.

The main tip I can give if you are considering purchasing this palette is to be very careful with the contour shadows so you don’t over apply them. Overall, I highly recommend this palette, especially because for $16.95 you really can’t go wrong! Unfortunately, Australis is only available in Australia, so apologies if you’re anywhere else!

Rodial Beauty Favourites

Hello and welcome to my little blog. I’m a 22 year old college graduate who likes to spend my free time (and money :P) doing makeup and all things beauty related. Stay tuned for reviews, samples and more! ❤️I love a good contour, and although I usually just use a matte bronzer, there’s something to be said for a dedicated contour powder, the cooler tones of which mimic the shadows better. NARS came out with three contour blushes, one for light skin (Olympia), one for medium skin (Paloma) and one for deep skin (Gyenna). I caught Paloma in the middle.

First, the powders are soft and smooth. They blend like an absolute dream, which is really amazing because you use them to contour and highlight. Second, they are both matte. I love this about powders because I don’t always like to emphasize the shimmer (oily skin, large pores, and acne can really hold back the shimmer). Third, both shades have pink undertones, which makes them cool-toned like the shadows without being too skin-toned (like pewter).

I really like these powders and they feel very natural on the skin. Below are before and after shots using this product only.

I used NARS Paloma Blush on my cheeks (both shades) and just the darker shade on my temples and jawline.

I love the highlight of this matte pink-cream shade without being overpowering. It’s just shimmery, so you can use it on your face or under your eyes. I’m not wearing bronzer underneath, just Paloma and Clinique Cheek Pop blush in Ginger (which I’m obsessed with right now, in case you’re wondering).

You can get this shade or the other shades online, at NARS counters, or at Sephora for $42. If you’re fair skinned like me and don’t really like matte highlights, you can get the duo on darker skin and just apply it with a light hand. So you can get different contour colors if you’re tanned or just want something more dramatic/softer. I will use this product for contouring from now on, it’s really good. Bronzer is very easy to find at the drugstore, there are many warm bronze shades to choose from…finding a cool contour shade proves that. harder. I have recently discovered the first drugstore bronzer that is perfect for contouring, welcome to Beauty UK Matte Bronzer No.2 Dark.

The Beauty UK bronzer is very soft to the touch and beautifully pigmented. It’s not super-pigmented so it won’t create harsh lines, and its soft texture allows it to blend into the skin. The shade is quite dark with a bit of warmth so it can be used as a bronzer for medium skin tones. The warmth in it makes it more comfortable, as the gray shade under the cheekbones can look good in photos, but is a bit unnatural to the eye. Even though it’s dark, it’s quite gray-toned compared to other bronzers, which creates a perfect contour in the hollows of the cheeks. It’s not as cool as the Kevyn Aucoin Sculpting Powder, which has the same gray undertones, but unlike the Beauty UK powder, it doesn’t feel warm.

The powder is quite pigmented so remember to be very light with this powder as you want the contour to look natural and always blend the powder up to the cheekbones and not below. My favorite brush for contouring is the Charlotte Tilbury Sculpting Brush because the tip is so fine that it doesn’t pick up too much color, it does the application and blending for you.

The Complete Brush Set

It’s a great budget buy for experienced contourers as it can be a little fiddly to apply (eg be careful not to over-apply and blend it all in), but if you’re not too keen on gray contour powders or just can’t take the Kevin Aucoin challenge, this a great alternative! But they are pale skin tones, be careful because it’s quite dark…remember, you can always use a cool, light brown eyeshadow to contour if it’s too dark! In 2000, contouring was very popular. And by that I mean the sharper the contour, the more we loved it! Fortunately, we have moved on to those intense days!

Contouring these days is all about shaping your face while keeping it looking naturally soft. It’s about discovering your natural beauty!

There is no shortage of contouring products on the market, in fact, it is oversaturated! With so many beauty products on the market, it’s easy to get confused about which one is good for you and your skin!

Contour Powder With Grey Undertone

This is more difficult for those with pale and light skin, for the simple reason that most contouring products have a slightly orange tint to them.

Review: Nyx Powder Blush (taupe)

Orange contour is a disaster for pale and fair skin. Unfortunately, I had to learn this the hard way! However, you don’t have to!

We’ve rounded up the best contouring products for pale and smooth skin that won’t make you look like a bum.
