Chip And Joanna Gaines Magnolia Silos – We visited The Silo at Magnolia Market (owned by HGTV’s Fixer Apper Chip and Joanna Gaines) for Silobration, a family-friendly weekend in Waco, Texas, including live music, food trucks, vendor fairs, lawn games and snacks. Enjoy delicious baking, shopping and more!

Last week I took a short business trip to Texas that included a trip from Dallas to Austin. Along the way, my friends and I decided to stop at Magnolia Markets and The Silo in Waco, and we were pleasantly surprised to find that it was the weekend of their annual Silobration event! The event features three days of live music, vendors, food trucks and

First we visited the Magnolia Market which was packed with people from the Silobrasi event. The store was filled with all kinds of amazing items, but the checkout line filled the entire store, so I didn’t buy a souvenir this time. Now that I’m back home, I’ll probably just order from their online store!

The Day I Met Chip & Joanna Gaines

Gray is my favorite wall color, so I was amazed at the variety of new trendy gray colors.

If there was room in my suitcase, I would have waited in a huge checkout line for hours to take home two of these “vintage” signs – one for me and one for my mother (who runs a shop called Chalk Antique Furniture!). Unfortunately, the Magnolia online store only carries XL sizes, but the store has a variety of sizes to choose from.

This chip corner of the market is dedicated to “Demo Day” men and everything they want.

Outside Magnolia Market, the grounds of The Silo are filled with beautiful vignettes and garden displays.

Trip To Magnolia Market At The Silos

The Silo is also home to Joanna’s new bakery, Silos Baking Co. I heard they have the best crepes, but again, the line was really long and since we were just passing by on the road, we didn’t have an hour to wait to try. I would love to go back and visit again to fully experience Magnolia on a day when the crowds are normal and not heavy traffic!

The “courtyard” in front of the silo is a large synthetic lawn filled with beanbag chairs, hula hoops, soccer balls and frisbees. It was great to see so many families participating and having fun on the huge lawn!

Magnolia Seed + Supply has huge gardens at The Silo and my favorite place. I always feel at home in the garden, this park is amazing!

Outside the park, people gather under striped canopies to sit on large patio swings and enjoy live music and delicious treats from a variety of food trucks.

We had a lot of fun at the Silo and Magnolia Markets, but I won’t lie, it was sweltering Texas heat that day and we were a mess when we got back on the road for the rest of the trip. Travel! I highly recommend a visit (it totally lives up to the hype!), but if you don’t like crowds, I recommend visiting on an off day. We arrived late in the afternoon so we missed some of the special evening entertainment but the evening ended with a concert by JohnySwim and performances by Chip and Joanna themselves – so much fun!

If we were to go back to Waco, Texas, circa 2003 — a full 10 years after Beechip and Joanna Gaines’ hit TV show breathed new life into the “incredibly touristy town” — you’d love Joanna Gaines’ first Magnolia Market, which was in the Upper part of “Boske Shop”.

The Little Shop — now the Magnolia Warehouse Shop — reopened last summer after a brief hiatus. Like everything else Joanna and Chip touched in the town halfway between Dallas and Austin, the warehouse store quickly became a tourist spot. So instead of closing at the end of August as they expected, it remains open Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., but with special holiday hours and closings. According to Magnolia’s Instagram post, “This store [at 3801 Bosque Blvd.] is offering last-chance Magnolia merchandise for minor damage and discounts,” so you won’t want to miss it.

Rather a trip to the store than a product with a discount. This is where Joe’s design career began. The first Magnolia store, she writes, was where I “developed and honed my style and design skills, grew as a business owner, and gained much-needed confidence in Magnolia Market and myself.”

Reports While the store thrived, after Chip and Joanna had their first two children, Drake and Ella Rose, they closed it to focus on raising their family and building their home improvement business, Magnolia Homes. Although the couple recently faced some criticism (and later retracted) for putting family first, the move underscores their commitment to prioritizing the needs of their children as they continue their mission to “bring beauty to life, one time at a time.” “. Waco is coming home.”

That same year, the couple (who both met after graduating from nearby Baylor University) reopened the Little Shop in Bosque, unaware that the business plan Joe had “written down” would soon turn into an empire. You know, the one that made them leave the Bosque location and move Magnolia to a bigger location in downtown Waco, Silo.

In 2015, Magnolia Market was born. Housed in a 12,000-square-foot grain warehouse that includes staff offices, the store is a haven for all the modern farmhouse touches. However, Silo is more than just a store. The surrounding area was transformed into an open area for family games and recreation. There’s also a food truck parking lot where you can grab a coffee from Common Grounds or grab pancakes or barbecue from a nearby vendor. There is also a large stage where Magnolia hosts its annual concert and party called Silobration. There’s also a full garden and Joanna’s Silos Baking Co. on the edge of the hotel.

This year also marks the opening of the couple’s restaurant, Magnolia Table, featuring some of Joe’s home-grown vegetables in a decor I envy.

The article reported that it was possible (albeit possible) to meet Chip and Joe, and that wait times at bakeries and restaurants were over three hours. With tourists flocking from all over the world, businesses in the area are booming, as is Magnolia, giving Waco its best shot.
