Benjamin Moore Revere Pewter Living Room – A light to medium gray with warm undertones, BenjaminMoore Revere Pewter is considered a timeless and classic greige that will complement any interior style. It’s a great transitional color that fits well in open-plan offices.
You have undoubtedly heard of Benjamin Moore Revere Pewter. It is undoubtedly one of the most popular and classic colors.
Benjamin Moore Revere Pewter Living Room
Revere Pewter is considered one of the most popular original greige colors. Greige means that it is a mixture of gray and beige. It belongs to the palette of light and medium colors, which gives it a great depth of color.
Friday Finds: Revere Pewter Hc 172
If you are looking for a clean, crisp, crisp gray, Revere Pewter is not for you. But it can be one of those gray colors.
Revere Pewter has an earthy, warm undertone. It can sometimes get a bit muddy, especially in the darkest rooms. When combined with a lot of dark furniture it can appear very beige.
Revere Pewter also tends to have a slight green undertone, which can sometimes be just as noticeable as its strong beige.
As a wall color, it works best in bright, open spaces with lots of natural light or lighter furniture, where the second undertone – blue – brings it much closer to gray, without the muddy, dull undertone. that it can also keep in a dark place.
Living Room Paint
I’ve only seen it “really” gray once, and that was in a room with windows on all three walls, meaning it repeats. Most of the time beige and green (and maybe even more taupe) come through.
With undertone. So remember to test the color on several walls and pay attention throughout the day. It may look perfect in the morning light, but you may not like it in the warm afternoon light.
We remind you that LRV or Light Reflectance Value is the amount of light reflected from the surface illuminated by the light source. A higher value (closer to 100) means the color reflects back more light, while a lower value (closer to 0) means the color absorbs more light and therefore appears darker.
Revere Pewter has an LRV of 55, so it’s around the middle of the scale, meaning it doesn’t reflect or absorb too much light.
My 5 Favorite Benjamin Moore Paint Colors
Revere Pewter is not nearly as popular as it was a few years ago. At one point it was a greige color. At the moment I think Agreeable Gray can probably give it a run for its money, while Edgecomb Gray isn’t far behind.
Rooms with fresh light are very popular right now, and often Revere Pewter doesn’t provide that feeling when placed on the wall. Plus, it’s one of those tricky colors that has a lot of undertones and can change color depending on the time of day and room decor.
Agreeable Gray stays true to its gray color as it is one of the purest forms of gray + beige, unlike Revere Pewter which gets quite muddy at times. Pleasant gray is also a slightly lighter color.
If I had to choose between the two, I would go with Agreeable Gray because it doesn’t have that muddy green/beige undertone.
The Best Paint Colors For Living Rooms In 2023
At first glance they look similar, but when you put them next to each other you notice that they are not the same color. Although both have slight green undertones, Accessible Beige has a warmer tone and a slightly higher LRV of 58. Accessible Beige also leans more towards beige with gray undertones. Additionally, both are good choices if you are looking for a gray color
Revere Pewter is extremely versatile in terms of matching colors, but the choice depends on what look you’re going for and what undertones you prefer or want to avoid.
Personally, I love it with shades of blue, especially navy blue. The contrast is great and the blue helps balance out some of the muddy beige tones that I don’t always like. Add bright white trim and you have a combination made in heaven.
On the other hand, these beige tones also go very well with coral and pink tones. If you’re looking for a vibrant pop of color, this is a really pretty look that would be perfect for a little girl’s room.
Revere Pewter Kitchen Cabinets
Are you looking for a more neutral color or a traditional look? Combining cream and white is a winner, while choosing an accent wall in colors like Amherst Gray or Powell Gray (or SW Serious Gray, my favorite!) adds contrast and stays in the same color family for a cohesive look.

In the bedroom above you can see that Revere Pewter is much closer to a clean, warm gray. It’s light and bright – exactly what today’s homeowner is looking for in 2023 paint colors. With light furniture, crisp white surfaces and lighting, the muddy greens and beiges are virtually eliminated.

Benjamin Moore Edgecomb Gray
In both living rooms above you can see Revere Pewter at his warmest. The warm light streaming in, lots of warm wood tones, a cream sofa and chair, and a brick fireplace bring out all the warm undertones of the color.
Despite the dark furniture in this room, the thick white trim, lighter floors, and walls with lots of natural light make it feel much cooler. The black accents in this room actually help keep it warm, as opposed to the brown tones of the wood that accentuate the warm undertones.
If you’re reading this, you’re probably thinking about using Revere Pewter on your home walls or even your outdoor space. However, my absolute favorite of this color is as a color for cabinets and interior doors. It is really beautiful and will give your home a fresh look!
I’ve always been a bright white trim and doors kind of girl…but these Revere Pewter Doors with White Trim from Kylie M. Interiors make me swoon. and you I think it adds a new dimension to beauty!
Paint Colors In My Home
Because this color is so versatile, you have many options when it comes to cabinet colors if you decide to paint your walls with Revere Pewter. A good choice would be Chelsea Gray as they are the same shade. Alternatively, you can lighten White Dove.
This bathroom shows how Benjamin Moore’s Revere Pewter works well with dark wood furniture. The dark wood brings out some of the paint’s green undertones, but the crisp white mirror balances everything out and keeps it from being too dark.
As with the previously mentioned kitchen cabinets and doors, I think this beadboard works particularly well in the bathroom, combined with a warm pattern and white accents for a beautiful finish. So warm but fresh, right?
Now that you’ve seen what it looks like in real rooms, you may be wondering which white trim color works best.
Light Neutral Paint Colors 2019
I don’t recommend using a different white trim color in every room of the house. In general, all of your decorations should be painted the same shade of white. But if you’re starting from scratch or dealing with a specific space where your current white color doesn’t feel right, you can change it.
As I mentioned before, Revere Pewter looks good in so many different colors. But what is the best white finish for Revere Pewter? The three best finish colors for Revere Pewter are:
Choosing the best interior color depends on what else is going on in the room and the rest of your home. You don’t want to start by painting the upholstery in one room a completely different shade of white than everything else in the house, especially if the floor plan is mostly open.
I hope this post was helpful! If you’ve decided that this color might be the perfect color for you, start by getting some paint samples to test on your walls (or a billboard) and be sure to monitor them throughout the day if the sun changes. The light in your home changes from cool to warm (or vice versa) throughout the day, and that can have a big impact on how a color looks on your wall.
