Benjamin Moore Light Pewter Cabinets – Benjamin Moore Revere Pewter is one of the most sought after and popular gray paint on the market. If you want to see what greige paint looks like in a real house, this article is for you!
After owning three houses and painting almost every room, I’ve learned a color scheme or two. Although I’ve listed my existing bedroom paint colors, I’ve never gone deep into them, so I’ll try to do so here. I thought I’d start with one of the most populated areas in our house, the living room!

To be honest, this color is not only for our room, but we chose it as the basis of the color palette of the whole house. And I don’t regret it for a second!
My Favorite Shades Of Gray Paint
Benjamin Moore’s popular Revere Pewter greige paint makes a unique addition to any room’s furniture or decor. It’s Cray! But that’s probably why it’s so popular. Oh, and before I go any further, let me address the elephant in the room:
Greige is exactly what it sounds like – gray paint with an m tip. This is one of those shades of gray that can look grayer or darker depending on the light (natural or artificial). With its warm undertones, Revere Pewter looks like pink in our home, but it definitely contrasts with the gray on the gray couch and mattress.
We spent $80 on the bathroom remodel and I am very happy with it. The Revere Pewter house is a nice beige with gray tones because of the lack of natural light in this room.
If you have a room that doesn’t get a lot of light, like a bathroom, you might want to add some color with decor or paint. We decided to paint our living room here and it helps keep the gray or brown.
Best Gray Paint Colors For Kitchen Cabinets 2024
In this room, we painted the furniture and made a bright white sofa, and we love it. Although the photos look really yellow, natural light makes them appear gray most of the day. That’s why I recommend painting a paint sample on your wall before you start! π
I hope I’m not the only one, you can see the difference in lighting. It looks totally gray in Christina’s house! Our house and Vidya’s place look grayish yellow.
Sherwin Williams Agreeable Gray is a similar color that many people use as a neutral gray in their home. Looking at these two colors in a real room, I have to say that Agreeable Gray is slightly warmer and slightly more gray than Benjamin Moore Revere Pewter. Revere Pewter can appear gray in the right light; I don’t know if I’ve ever seen Agreeable Gray like this.
Chelsea Gray is another popular paint, but as you can see from the model above, it’s a very dark color. Benjamin Moore’s description of him as “a well-dressed man” made me laugh out loud. I think it’s more gray than BM Revere Pewter, but I don’t know that it’s neutral. It’s a color in itself, but Chelsea gray is dark, I don’t think it’s a wall color, it’s too much. I think it would be great to have one of these accent colors in your home.

Another on the list of popular grays is Anew Gray by Sherwin Williams. Again, I think it’s a nice shade, but I don’t know if I’d call it a perfect shade. It’s a shade darker for me, darker than Revere Pewter. It’s a great color, just don’t think it’s as bright as Revere Pewter.
Sherwin Williams Repose Gray is one of the competitors of BM Revere Pewter. I love Repose Grey. I have to say I think it’s a nice soft gray with a hint of blue. Any light gray will have brown, blue, or purple hues depending on the lighting conditions. Although we have BM Revere Pewter in our house, SW Repose Gray is a very attractive shade. If it wasn’t so close, I think I would have half the sense to completely renovate my house with it.
But it requires polishing, and it’s not a party I want to be invited to at this point in my life.
Since we chose Revere Pewter as our home color, I think it’s safe to say we love it!

However, not ALL grays are created equal, so this is a great benefit – Revere Pewter is a step up from the standard gray box.
Revere Pewter is a WARM gray which means a little “dirty”. Would beige look good in your closet? Heck, it’s not that hot; It is nowhere near the traditional gray world.

In some lighting it might look like a nice gray, but it’s actually green, and THAT is tricky. Most popular white quartz countertops are purple rather than green. Some people still associate these quartz cases with Revere Pewter and like to play with different tones (myself included). However, some like these partnerships.

This next image shows how the warm green Revere Pewter (darker) contrasts with the stormy, cooler colors of Benjamin Moore’s Stonington Grey.
Revere Pewter’s LRV is 55.05, which means it’s a light paint color, but with some flesh on the bone, so it’s closer to a medium pale depth.
Best Mushroom Paint Colors For The Perfect Space
However, the sheen of the cabinet paint (recommended WEEKLY finish) can make Revere Pewter look a little brighter than you’d expect, especially on walls (matte or eggshell). For this reason, I recommend darkening Revere Pewter by 25% or 50% throughout. Kitchen Cabinet Design GREAT JOB; Worth the time to sample!
If you think Revere Pewter is too dark for your kitchen, check out higher LRV colors like Sherwin Williams Agreeable Gray and Egret White HERE. Keep in mind that cabinet colors (other than white) are difficult to find.
As for your walls, no, Revere Pewter never goes out of style and will hold its own in a regular home as long as the home has good natural light. Because cold grays are not good, but warm grays work well, especially given the surrounding area. If your home is dark, Revere Pewter will be heavy and dull, and it is not suitable for this type of color at this time. Revere Pewter is also hot on the outside.
When it comes to wardrobes, Revere Pewter is still in style and, thanks to Earth, warm for winter. It doesn’t mean it will last forever, but you’ll get more out of a traditional gray, especially if you’re a little darker.
Benjamin Moore Revere Pewter Review & Inspiration
Darkening Revere Pewter offers a little more flexibility with a variety of custom wall colors, such as Benjamin Moore Edgecomb Gray, White Dove, Sherwin Williams Aesthetic White, and lighter versions of other beautiful neutrals.
I chose Revere Pewter for my kitchen cabinets and went about 25% darker to give it more depth. I paired it with Cambria Brittanica Warm Quartz, which goes great with Revere Pewterβ¦
Our house has a nice open floor plan, so I also painted the secondary doors (bedroom, bathroom, and laundry room) in Revere Pewter (50% dark) to create a visual connection and LOVE how it looks with white trim (Benjamin) . Moore). White Dove)β¦
