Benjamin Moore Revere Pewter Sherwin Williams Match – I am a fan of gray wall paint. It’s a great neutral and adds a clean, modern feel to any space. However, I learned that not all grays are created equal. When we first moved in, we painted most of Brooklyn House a very nice gray (Sherwin Williams Lattice, actually). Although it’s a nice color, it always seems a bit cold and dry for my taste. This is my search for the perfect greige color that is not too cool but also not in the “building beige” color category. Here are my favorites so far. 🙂

This is the darkest color in this post, but I think it would just look amazing in a large space that could hold a darker shade of color. This color scheme is very popular on Pinterest and it’s easy to see why! I think this color looks great when paired with crisp white lines and espresso accents. I would be careful not to go too dark when I use this color on the furniture or the room will look heavy.

I think this is my favorite so far! It is light, which is great because we usually deal with smaller rooms. It’s a very warm color, but I feel that different types of light during the day would be very interesting this way.

Sherwin Williams Alabaster (sw 7008) Vs Benjamin Moore Revere Pewter (hc 172) Side By Side Comparison

Well, maybe I lied. This might be my favorite. Besides, if Shea McGee says it’s her favorite cereal, it must be good. 🙂 A little cooler, but just as delicious. I feel like this color would be very versatile and could look more gray or beige depending on what you pair it with.

This is very close to the two above, but to me it’s more beige than gray. If you are looking for a light and airy dark beige, it will be perfect. It’s a great color and would look great in a traditional home or a new build that already has a lot of space.

I think this color lives up to its name very well – it’s definitely worth it! It’s more gray than beige, which I love. It’s not too dark or too bright and I think it would look fantastic almost anywhere.

It leans on the beige side for me and is almost a lighter version of Benjamin Moore Revere Pewter if you like the color but want something a little lighter and not too bold.

If you’ve ever picked up some gray paint samples from the hardware store and placed them next to your wall; you will soon learn that not all shades of gray are created equal. There are many different colors and it can be overwhelming.

Paint Colors For The Whole Home

Passive is a cool gray and although it is a great color, other grays are also popular, such as Repose Grey, Agreeable Gray or BM Revere Pewter. I will break these down in more detail below. While I understand that gray is still used in homes, I see more of a trend toward warmer grays now.

The passive has a soft blue tone and sounds great in many rooms and settings. Since Passive has cooler tones, if you want to warm up your space, you might want to look at other colors.

SW Passive falls into the cool category due to its ice blue undertones. This is a cool color, but it can change. Tell me what’s good, I’ll explain.

Color categories are usually cool, warm or neutral, and although Passive is initially classified as a cool color, a room like this can feel warmer or neutral. Passive picks up the tones around the room and shows these tones to make the room feel cool, warm or neutral.

Sherwin Williams Anew Gray Review!

Should you mix cool and warm tones in your home design? Unlimited! In fact, I recommend mixing warm and cool colors by incorporating furniture, decor, paint colors and window treatments to create more interest in your space.

Our home has cool walls, warm floors, warmer trim color and a mix of warm and cool. I like this because it adds visual interest to the space and keeps it from looking boring or like someone else’s house. At the same time, it gives a feeling of neutrality to our whole area.

Sherwin Williams passive has a light reflectance value (LVR) of 60. LRV ranges from 0 to 100, where 100 is pure white and 0 is black. Design professionals often use LVR to measure the amount of light in terms of reflectance. Higher numbers reflect more light and lower numbers reflect more light.

Passive is a light gray color because the LVR is less than 60. Looking at LVRs is very helpful when choosing paint colors for your home.
