Additions To Ranch Homes Pictures – After we bought our house in Utah, we asked our contractor and architect to see if our ideas were feasible. The main things they need to check are the changes we want in the basement. The first step is to identify the girls’ room. One of the reasons the girls were excited to move (mostly our former Ella) was their room opportunity! So we hoped to make two rooms in the basement for them. And I want to talk about ways to reduce it a little bit.

I told Kevin we could add fake drums to the front of the house. Or we can add another floor for the girls room. We told the contractor and the architect that we can build the second floor later. All the more reason to wait, we’ll be home soon! Of course, they offered to do it all, which makes a lot of sense. That’s why we do it. Building a two-story ranch (and possibly a move-in date 🙃)!

I know I don’t have to share this, but I want to share this part of the story, and maybe go deeper. All the extras were things we budgeted for and kept in mind when looking for the fixture. This will be our fourth home! From each of our homes, we have received a good return on our investment. It has to do with finding homes that are within our means (mortgage companies tell us less than we can afford). That way, we had extra money to make changes to the house to increase its value. Timely sales always help! We plan to stay in this house for a long time.

Our foundation company came to inspect our form to see if it could support the weight of the second floor. Yes! So our architects plan. Want to see???

I thought I would share the second floor plan so you know what the second floor looks like. We have two windows for each of the girls’ rooms (they are crazy for window seats!) As you can see in the exterior plan below, it looks like it could use another window in the middle (I also used a round Think about. ), but walk in closet. I still love the look with the second coat. Check out the 4 options we have!

There’s a lot to love about this ranch fixer upper. We believe that homes should reflect the area in which they live. The house is really close to the mountains, we wanted it to still be a mountain house, but with a personal style and a cool, playful look.

I would like to show you the second floor along with the exterior of the first floor. We loved the B but wanted a two bedroom. I think the second floor idea should be complete, but you can get different ideas below…

Renovating And Modernizing A Ranch House

It’s feedback that Kevin and I count on! We have some nice wood in our house, and we are going to add the same wood to the second floor, maybe take it down and give it a paint job. Paint the stone white and the window black.

This exterior idea will leave the existing stone and fill the ground with the “overground” technique. Then paint the wood white. Really love it!

The last option is to paint the stone and wood white. I don’t like the idea because the other two houses in our house look white. I think somehow this white look would be a fun color for our windows! Check out the encyclopedia photo below…

Ranch House Remodel: Lake House Legacy

For many homeowners, housing is everything. When living space is limited, but the space around you can’t be changed, this type of vertical addition can be the perfect solution to get more space. Such is the case with an East Greenwich family who hired Red House to add more space to their home, creating a striking architectural statement on the outside. This East Greenwich home is one of our most transformative projects to date. Starting with a one-story farmhouse, our team expanded the structure and transformed it into a two-story Gothic Revival home! This second floor not only adds valuable living space, but also adds incredible value to the outdoors.

There are three additional bedrooms, including a two-bedroom master bedroom and bathroom, another bathroom, and a laundry room. A new central staircase was built to connect the two floors with a hall on the second floor.

The front of the house is decorated with three vertical, prominent gables. Simple cupboard panels adorn the central elevation. Gables give the home character and historic feel, in the historic district near East Greenwich Main Street. The Gothic Revival style of architecture was popular in New England from the 1830s to the 1880s. The spacious entrance hall at the front of the house was also decorated in style.

The featured ranch style home addition projects below will give you some ideas on how you can transform your cozy rambler into a modern multi-story structure that will best suit your family’s needs.

The sky’s the limit when it comes to adding more square footage to your farmhouse-style home, and this stunning home proves it. The renovation focused on opening up the interior to natural light, by raising the ceilings, extending the baseboards and changing the roof line to accommodate modern transom windows. With an emphasis on clean architectural lines and balance, the exterior has been refreshed with new, almost “mod” Benjamin Moore paint and bold accents throughout the trim. Finally, brushed nickel and black accents complete the look to enhance the overall appeal of this home in a fresh and vibrant way.

Some home additions are small, thus making other floor plans more spacious and efficient. This open and airy oasis is designed to extend the roof and form the front and back sections. Larger bathrooms, a master suite, a larger kitchen, and an updated aesthetic were made possible by the redesign. Complete renovations to create a luxurious architectural feel, practical layout with vaulted ceilings, fresh trim with clean line profiles, large windows for natural light, and more seating options to better accommodate guests. Elegant pendant lights are placed above the multifunctional island to tastefully separate the kitchen from the great room, and the same bright white and neutral color themes are used on both sides to create a cohesive look.
